Assalam Alaikum Nahid, I just would like to express my appreciation for your excellent arrangements and above all, the impressive personal attention that you have put into making our journey stress free right from the start. Jazakallah khair for all that you have done. My parents have been singing your praises to one and all:)

We had a great group as well. It felt like family. Jazakallah sister sahar for the arrangements u had done for make our umra comfortable. May Allah reward each and every person that works so hard to make it easy for the hajjis.

As salaam alaikum Sister Sahar,
We are back in Michigan after a wonderful Umrah pilgrimage. Everything worked out like a well oiled machine except for a minor incident upon arrival at Madina airport. The staff in all places including brothers Jamal, Bassam, Hussain and their assistants in all the cities were exceedingly helpful. Sara and I are very thankful to you for arranging such a pleasant & fulfilling Umrah journey. JazakAllah and may God keep you and your family well, always! Ameen.

Sr Rahima is with Dar El Salam Travel, and we have  used their services for 13+ years for various Hajj and Umrah packages. Alhamdulillah, their service has been excellent, and they always deliver what they commit to or more. We used them most recently for our Umrah trip this past December-January.

Jazakommulah  Khair for everything.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Umrah trip and thank you guys for making it possible.

Everything was very good and we did not face any major issues throughout the trip.

Hotel  arrangements at both places were very good.

Thanks again.

Gazacom Allah Kher sister Rahima.

We have had outstanding experience with Dar El Salam and we are already passing our recommendations left and right.

Mohamed I Salem

First, I want to thank you Dar El Salam for enabling us to perform Umrah. We pray that Allah (SWT) reward the entire organization for their efforts. I am humbled at the opportunity to provide feedback on the recent Umrah trip. The support from staff based in NY was very good. The staff provided timely responses to any questions and followed-up on matters that needed additional clarifications. In particular, I need to mention outstanding support from Nahid Qureshi, Sister Rahima in the Customer Relations department and Brother Qureshi in the airline reservations department. I would give them grade A for their professionalism.
Thank you.

Abdul Naim

Wswrwb jzk khair, Nahid  it was great trip Alhamdullilah   May Allah SWT give reward here and hereafter to you and everyone who took part in this trip  ameen

We enjoyed a lot, and kids were happy too.

Alhamdulillah  may Allah SWT give us chance again and again to go with this kind of spiritual trips ameen

Hotel arrangements at both places were very good.

Thanks again.

Thanks for your kind remarks. I just returned  with my son after performing  Umrah  with Dar el Salam and have absolutely no complaints. I found both NY staff and local staff at Madinah ,Makkah and Jeddah very professional and  helpful. They tried their best despite this being the heaviest travel season and shopping. I would like to convey especial gratitude to  NY staff in US  and Hassan in Saudi Arabia who received us in Madinah and made sure everything went smoothly related to our departure from Jeddah. Special thanks to our group Imam, sister Rahima bessam  in Madinah and Makkah staff including tour guide.
I am glad that I chose Dar El Salam and would recommend it to anyone thinking about Umrah or Hajj.
Jazakommulah Khair for everything.

The service received in USA was cooperative, supportive and above all very prompt.  I had become nervous as it was my first time, and the fact that I received the passport just a few days before the travel date made me tense.  However, it appears that this is a normal procedure and I had nothing to be alarmed about.  Most importantly, the people in the Houston office were always polite and helpful.  You specifically demonstrated great patience with me and my unending inquiries.

All staff in Jeddah, Madinah and Makkah were good.  But I must commend your staff in Jeddah at the time of departure.  As the luggage of some of us came after our arrival at the airport, the staff there was very helpful.  What was amazing was that they had carts ready for us and helped us load our luggage.  The case of Zamzam was also there.  The young man on the plane from Istanbul to Madinah was very helpful.

The hotel accommodations were comfortable.  The close proximity to the mosques was a great help.  The Hilton was excellent!  The choices at breakfast were just great.  Fairmont was good too.  Although the wait at the elevators was daunting. But otherwise it was good.

Dar El Salam has to be commended for excellent arrangements and always keeping the people’s comfort and needs in mind.  The dinner at the foothill of Jable Rehmah came as a pleasant surprise.  The food was worthy of royalty.  I really felt special.

Thank you for everything Dar El Salam.  I am so glad I made the choice to select you for the best journey of my life!

Warm regards,

Thanks for your best wishes and dua, indeed we had wonderful time in Madina al Munwara and Makkah. I sincerely appreciate your efforts in making our stay in Madina al Munwara so comfortable and very enjoyable all the way Alhumdulillah.

Dar el Salam has the highest standards and their staff is responsive and made sure all the guest are well taken care of...my sincere appreciation for entire staff of Dar el Salam and may Allah SWT reward them in multiples Ameen

Mohammed Hussain

Please accept our heartfelt thanks and appreciation for the most outstanding services provided by one and all at each and every point. We are obliged and Thank ALLAH SWT for the presence of Dar El Salam. The staff here in NY and in Saudi are most professional, compassionate and so very eager to help. Many a times each one is willing and does go out of the way to help. The truly over extend themselves and with a smile. ALLAH SWT Bless you and Grant you all continued success and well being.

 Best regards.

Assalamouaikum, Thank to Dar El Salam for helping me for my first Umrah trip on May 8-17 for the year 2014. I made a phone from Philadelphia to Dar El Salam Travel in New York Office to book my trip. I received my package with my visa, books of Umrah, Duah’s, name tag, schedule of my trip and much more at home. The staffs from the New York office were very friendly, helpful and nice in offering me many options and deals for my Umrah but my choice went for the mother’s day package. I was offered to stay at the five stars hotel in Madina and in Makkah. The breakfast was included in the package. I arrived at Jeddah airport many staffs from Dar El salam came to assist me for a transit to another flight to Al Madina. When I arrived at Al Madina, Once again, the staffs from Dar El Salam took care of my luggage. I was welcome with amenities into the bus. The bus driver, tour agent and other staffs were very kind with me. I received my room keys in the bus as an express check-in. Once I reached my room, there was a second amenity into my room in Al Madina. In Al Madina, I attended a few lecturers about the Umrah by the staff of Dar El Salam. The hotel in Madina was located near Al Masjid Nawabi. I had the opportunity to pray at Al Rawdah for me, my family and friends. I also went on a tour trip with Dar El Salam staffs to visit an exhibit of the Prophet (SAW), the Mount Uhud, Quba Masjid, Qiblatain Masjid and other historical sites. The staffs were guiding me step by step and I did not feel that I was alone. I had a wonderful time in Al Madina. Arriving in Makkah, I performed my Umrah properly. I also prayed the Jummah Salaat and make many duah’s in front of the Kaaba. May Allah Accepts all my duah’s. The hotel was located in the Al Haram. I visited Jabal Thawr, Arafat, Muzdalifah, Mina Jab/ Al Nur (Cave Nur). I had an express check out back to Jeddah airport for my departure. The bus was on time. Dar el Salam staffs were present at the airport for help and offered me zamzam water. All the services were great and excellent. Thank to Dar El salam in offering free diner at Al Madina and in Makkah. The foods and drinks were delicious and abundance. In the morning, the breakfast buffet stations were full with hot food and cold food. The chefs were also cooking on the site. The restaurant staffs were very nice. In general, in Al Medina and Makah I did not had any problems. The staffs of the hotels were very kind and generous. The lecturer from the sister and brothers from Dar El Salam Travel had made my Umrah an easy one. I did not expect that, I will learn so much about my trip than expected. Finally, without Dar El Salaam, I would never have such a nice trip to the holy places. I could not forget my Umrah trip. It’s a memorable one. Thank to Dar El salam. Jazakallah. Allah Hafiz. I have to show various appreciation to this critic simply for rescuing me from this type of challenge. Because of exploring all through the world wide web in addition to getting basics that were not productive, I was thinking my life was done. Being alive without the approaches to the difficulties you’ve sorted out all through your main short post is a serious case, as well as ones that might have negatively affected my entire career if I hadn’t seen your web site. Your own competence as well as kindness in playing with all the things was valuable. I’m not sure what I would have done if I hadn’t come across such a point like this. I’m able to now look ahead to my future. Thanks for your time so much for your professional and sensible help. I will not be reluctant to advise your web web site to some individual who wants and needs support concerning this topic.

Couldn’t be better! From reservation to the farewell at Jeddah, the sweetest experience my 8 years old son and I could’ve had. They have their office in Manhattan. Mr. Najam handled our trip in an excellent way. The moment you enter, the most pleasant personality at the receptions greets you. She is Miss Saeeda with a never ending smile and her ubiquitous readiness to help. My little girl was with me when we went to the office to finalize the trip; Miss Saeeda gave her a big hug that kept my daughter happy for the rest of the day. May Allah SWT bless her with the best of the both worlds, ameen. Mr. Salim welcomed us at the Jeddah airport with an infectious smile. He’s a very nice gentleman and very polite. May Allah SWT bless him, ameen. Bus took an hour and half or more to get moving. We’ve no idea why the driver waited that long. Maybe the check in at Medinah hotel had something to do with it. It should have been scheduled in a way as not to waste our precious time. We could’ve spent some more time at The Mosque if he moved in time. We got to Madinah late. Our trip was supposed to be a 6-night trip but later we realized that the management took away our one night and asked us to check out at 6PM on the 6th night! We were not happy campers and so was the case with many of our group mates. I expressed my concern to Mr. Taufiq and let him know I wasn’t too happy about it. Mr. Taufiq said he had a surprise dinner for us that’ll make us happy. Well, I thought, no food on earth would make up the time lost here! We had very limited time in Makkah; two nights only! Well, we boarded the bus from Makkah to Jeddah via our “special dinner” spot. On our way, we came to know we were going to the “Jabal-e-Rehmah” at Arafat! That’s when my heart started jumping. Oh yes, we were going to Arafat. Last time on Hajj my wife and I with our group were miles away from the Mt. Arafat. I told my little boy we were going to Jabal e Rehmah and explained the importance of it. He was very excited. Even with my severely bad back and other maladies, my son managed to coerce me into climbing up the mount. In the middle of the hike, halfway from the top I gave up and so did he. Then I said, “Son, I might not be able to come here again, so let’s go to the top”. My 8yrs. old suddenly became a grown up and said, “Let’s go dad”. We climbed all the way up! Alhamdolillah! Once we were on top of the Jabal e Rehmah, a prayer poured out my heart for Dar El Salam organizers who thought of this event. May Allah Bless you guys, Ameen. What you did for us is something never to forget. Whether I’m around or not, this trip will never be forgotten by my 8yrs. old and that was the purpose of bringing him along. Mr. Salim was there for us again at Jeddah airport at departure. Same beautiful smile and an eagerness to help! He helped me with ZamZam packing and helped with check in. He guided at every step. You guys are great! My 7yrs old daughter is very upset for not being able to go with us. Every time she sees the pictures, she becomes sad. Allah willing, when He makes it happen, we’ll certainly go with you again and with confidence. I would recommend you to my friends as well. Jazak Allah Khair. Malik Awan.

Assalamu Alaikum

I thought the service in your USA office was fantastic mainly Susan Mustafa. She was very helpful and clear with the plan of our trip. When we arrived in Jeddah. The driver was very kind and we had a great time talking to him throughout our trip. When we arrived at the hotel, we were immediately accompanied by Dar El Salam representative waiting for us. He took our luggage, checked us in, and walked us to the hotel room. The faculty were very nice and helpful and I thought the service was superb. The service continued to be consistent and smooth and did not give us any stress at all. Our trip to Medinah went by smoothly with another great driver as well as the return to Jeddah. The driver in Medinah that was part of the mazarat was very informative, kind and patient in the trip. I would like to thank Dar El Salam for everything they have done for my family, for their kindness and their patience.

By far the best Umrah trip ever. Started with the Inaugural flight of Saudia Airlines from Los Angeles LAX Airport directly to Jeddah and from there 10+ stars all the way. Travel agent Susan Mustafa was extremely helpful in planning our Umrah trip. We will definitely be calling Dar El Salam for ALL our future trips. Highly recommended.

My name is Hajia Lola Mustapha. I'm originally from Nigeria but I now live in New York.

My 1st Hajj was in 1981 and I have made about 25 plus Hajj & Umrah combined. I go to Hajj almost every year even in 2013.

Just last month, I went to umrah with the ICNYU-UMRAH-2014 GROUP.

I just wanted you to know that from the beginning of the trip to end with the wonderful dinner at Mt. Arafat has been an amazing experience with spiritual uplifting that will stay with me for the rest of my life. Alhamdulillai.

The accommodations, both Medina and Mecca was fantastic. Both accommodations were the closest you can get to both Holy Houses. The buses that took us from one place to another were fantastic, nicer and cleaner than most buses you travel on in the US.

With my 25 plus times that I have perform both Hajj and Umrah, this is the most complete and satisfying trip of all my trips combine.

Your staffs at Jeddah - Mohammed Salim, - Medina - Oh I forgot his name. (He wears eye glass) and the - Mecca - Mohammed Fatty and his partners are all God sent and the best you could ever asked for.

They were very professional, patience, respectful, wonderful and amazing group of people. They were always there when you need them. They respond very quickly to your needs and your wants any time of the day you call them with a smile even when they are tried. I once or twice asked if they ever sleep. They all welcome us with open arms and saw us at the airport with gratitude. May Allah Ta'ala Bless, Guide and Protect them and their family.

I want you to know that Dar-El-Salam is just the best Travel Agent ever and in my opinion Allah put them here to help all Muslims to achieve their goals whenever they made this spiritual trip to Mecca and Medina and will recommend Dar-El-Salam to everybody/anybody that I know

I want to take this opportunity to thank everybody that make this trip such an unforgettable blessed one for me at Dar El Salam.

May Allah Ta'ala forgive us our sins and purity us a purification that only He can provide and we ask him to grant this for us through the love that He has for His beloved messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace)

Wa Alaykum Salam,

Hajia Lola Mustapha

Salaams Beloved Sister-

You guys are the best!! I can't tell you how thankful I am for all of the work you , and Dar El Salam did to make our Umrah successful. To be able to focus on Ebadat and know that all of the logistics were taken care of was a profound blessing.
I look forward to next year, insha'Allah with my family.
I'm already missing Medina, Mecca and my ICNYU family. But I also know that hearts connected cannot be separated by time, space or circumstance.
May Allah increase you all with an overflowing of good in this world and in the hereafter.

Your brother in Islam, Iman and Ihsan

Every pilgrim who embarks on the journey for Hajj has a unique experience. People come from all over the world with hopes, dreams and wishes to talk to the Almighty directly. Most of of them are silent in prayers while others openly communicate with clear voices. I had this opportunity in 2012 and would like to share my experiences.
People going for Hajj can select the arrival destination in Saudi Arabia as either Makka or Medina. I start my journey on October 15, 2012 with a direct flight to Medina from Washington DC Dulles airport.
After about twelve hours, the aircraft is approaching Medina. I look out at the landscape. It is dotted with small hills without any trees or grass. These hills look vulnerable due to their clay and stone make up. Continuing on to the center of the city I see date palm trees along the road.
The customs and immigrations in Medina is a smooth operation as the travel agency collected our passports. The authorities checked the inoculation for meningitis. Without a certificate people are not allowed in Saudi Arabia. The travel agent Dar El Salam (DST) did good work and we were on the buses in an hour. Each person was given an identity tag with bus number and passport information.
October 16,'12 is a bright sunny day and the temperature is over 80 degrees Fahrenheit. After settling in the hotel, I see Masjid Nabawi right in front of me. Even the windows are facing toward Khana Kaaba. I can see people walking around in the shade provided by huge canopies. These canopies open as soon as the sun rises and close down after sunset. Masjid Nabawi now occupies a huge area. Hotels are lined up on three sides while one side has an educational institution.
I come out of the hotel and see a lineup of small and big shops. Business is in full swing. There are four major types of shops. Shops that sell gift items like prayer rugs, tasbeeh, perfume, dates/sweets and of course jewelry of all kinds.
Each entrance to Masjid Nabawi is named, such as, Bab Baqee and Bab Jabreel. Wash stations in the outer corridors are numbered. All one has to do is to remember the wash station number close to the point of entrance.
I walk around in the afternoon in the bazaars of Medina. People are very cheerful. Everyone is ready to help. At the same time one must be very careful in keeping limited amount of money in pocket. Even more important is a large presence of professionals who narrate stories of misery or having lost money and want fare from Medina to Makka. These people are well dressed with beard and a tasbeeh in hand. Several people approach me in a very polite manner and ask for help. Many of these people will tell you that they are from Kashmir or Pakistan and invariably trap people inside Masjid Nabawi where people are full of religious sentiments.
I place my shoes in a backpack wrapped in a plastic bag and head for the Masjid. This is a huge place with arches and pillars. People are busy in the recitation of Qur’an or are praying. After Iqama the people start to move forward. However, after the prayer starts there are many unfilled spaces inside the Masjid.
As soon as the prayer starts I hear the people coughing all around me. Perhaps this is the major cause of transmission of various viruses. About 10% of the people wear surgical masks for protection while others bring their own prayer mats. It is a good idea to safeguard against infection. The Masjid is kept thoroughly clean at all times but the carpets cannot be sterilized after each prayer. Zamzam water is available to all people at all times in Masjid Nabawi.
The stay in Medina has been very pleasant. I took a guided tour on October 18, 2012 to visit Masjid Quba, Masjid Qiblatain and the battlefield of Uhad. This battle in Uhad was a life-and-death struggle for the newly formed Muslim community. Large number of people visit the site. The people and the government of Saudi Arabia are oblivious of the erosion of the small hill where the Prophet had posted a contingent to offset any attack from behind. At the same time, the Saudi Government is very concerned about the contamination of Islamic faith with false objects of worship. So they have not preserved any home or monument of historical value. The place where the battle of Khandaq took place there is a freeway running without any historical markers. The knowledgeable people do point out various areas but visitors simply do not get any guidance.
People may object when I say the Prophet making great efforts and sacrifices for everything he achieved. This is in contrast with millions of people praying for everything while they never made any effort for them. It amazes me to see the people in prayer asking for fruits while they never planted or nurtured any tree.
After four days of stay in Medina, I took a Saudi Airline flight at 5 PM to Jeddah on October 20, '12. The group leader advised us to put on Ihram and declare the intention for Umrah before the flight.
Our bus took about three hours to reach the hotel in Makka. It passed through crowded bazaar with large number of people in South Asian dresses. It seems like a Lahore bazaar in Pakistan instead of Saudi Arabia with small shops and throngs of people walking in all directions.
As the sun went down our group leader told us to relax and gather in the hotel lobby for Umrah at 1:30 AM in the morning. His observation was right. The number of people after the Isha prayers gradually decline and we complete Umrah before the Fajar prayer.
Tawaf and Saee between Safa and Marva is very easy these days due to four levels. The people in the main area of Khana Kaaba were not pushing and shoving as during the day. The Tawaf took us about fifty minutes in the inner courtyard. By the time we finished Umrah it was already 4 AM. We went to the top level of Safa/Marva platform in the open sky. The weather had cooled down and after a brief passage of time the Azan was called. After completing Umrah we headed back to the hotel that was marked by the clock tower.
After my first visit to Khana Kaaba it was difficult to get lost. However ,I saw many Pakistani and Indian people asking for directions. Luckily, the people are very helpful during the Hajj season. While thousands get lost there are many who are ready to help. I am amazed at the zeal of old people running between Safa and Marva while I feel tired and need rest.
It seems like everything is within a human being. If there is nothing inside then everything outside becomes a meaningless exercise. Many people from Third World countries come with their lifetime savings and they are the ones who benefit the most from this pilgrimage.
The Hajj marathon starts with arrival in Mena camp. It is a bright sunny morning on October 24, 2012. Our group leader has already asked us to get ready with Ihram for the Hajj. We take the bus at 11 AM and start towards Mena camp. Makka has rolling hills with hotels all over in the vicinity of Khana Kaaba. The bus moves out slowly toward Mena. There are about four tunnels and dry stone hills in the distance. Even in early morning the weather is warm and touching 80 degrees F. We pass through the Azizia suburb where there are many apartment buildings This area is surrounded by the hills and there are many date palm trees. The buses pass over a bridge where there are flags of Turkey, Pakistan, India and many other countries.
Mena is a large tent city spread over miles. This is the area where people get lost because all tents look the same. We reach our Mena camp site in about two hours. Here the travel agent (DST) assigned the tents to a group of about twenty people. Chair beds are lined along the sides of the room. After rolling out the beds there is hardly any space left. These tents are air-conditioned but the air moves out only in one direction. While one side is feeling cold the other side is sweating it out.
Perhaps the stay in Mena is the hardest part of Hajj rituals. Walking outside the camp you can see a sea of people with many occupying the sidewalks without any protection from the sun or rain. Right in front of our camp we can see the building where the escalators take you to Jamaraats area. Even in the presence of clear signs people get lost and spend hours looking in all directions. The patience of Saudi police and volunteers is commendable. Although they never provide any guidance they are not angry with the people going in all directions. This is the day to get orientation as the Hajj is going to start on October 25, '12. The main problem here seems to be inadequate washroom facilities. People have to stand in line.
On October 25 we start our journey towards Arafat. From our camp in Mena, the train station is about one mile away. After a good walk, we arrive at the train station. This train is called Al- Mashaer. The train waiting period is one hour while it is only a 15-minute ride to Arafat. The passengers are packed like sardines but thankfully the uncomfortable travel period is short.
We arrive at Arafat around noon on October 25, 2012. The place is huge. You can see distant hills in the background of the vast valley of Arafat. Very few people dare to go to these hills because it is very easy to get lost. The presence of people within the area of Arafat between noon and sunset is the main requirement for Hajj. Hajj cannot be performed without this presence.
I stay around the camp and listen to a lecture by a scholar arranged by the travel agent (DST). Lunch is provided, however it is a good idea to eat less and drink more water. I cannot listen to the sermon from a distant masjid. We have our own arrangement for the prayers inside the tent.
As the sun is about to go down behind the distant hills of Arafat we head for the train station to take us to Muzdalifa. In Muzdalifa there is a carpeted area for our group while a huge crowd is spreading out on the open ground. Here people have to collect small pebbles and stones. There are no pebbles to be found. There are big stones that can easily hurt people but no small stones. I walk around the ground and stop at a fenced area. I see small fragments of stones in a fenced area with a police man. I use sign language to request the policeman to give a handful of the small stones. He is very kind to give a good supply and I return back to my area. Here again we have our own Imam for the prayers. A lady is trying to separate women from men of their family. Some people move but majority just ignore her heartfelt pleas. Here we talk with fellow pilgrims till midnight.
In October the weather is pleasant in Muzdalifa. There is no need for a blanket. I use my backpack as a pillow and lie down to get few hours of rest. Early morning at 4 AM Azan is called for Tahhajad. Some people pray all night while others are in deep sleep. Many people are coughing due to some virus that affects the vocal chords and causes shivering fever.
Some people leave at midnight while I decide to stay because my wife Raheela has changed her mind. After Fajar prayer we start back towards Mena camp. Here on our way we have our first encounter with Jamaraats. Early morning on October 26,'12 we go to Jamaraats.
In the evening we head towards Makka to perform Tawaf Al- Efada. The DST has arranged buses to drop us at a hotel. We reach the hotel in the evening and head towards Khana Kaaba. This place is very crowded. The first level around Kaaba is jam-packed. We start our Tawaf El Efada around midnight. Even at night it is warm without any breeze. It takes us more than one hour to finish the Tawaf and we move towards Safa and Marva. There is a top level open to the sky approachable with escalators and stairs.
I lie down in the open to rest for a while. There are many people performing Saee between Safa and Marva. I see old people running with religious fervor while I feel very tired. On October 27 morning we head back to the buses parked at Al Shuhda Hotel. We reach Mena camp and have the second go at Jamaraats. This time we hit at all three Jamaraats. After this encounter the Hajj ritual is essentially over and people are lining up for a haircut. There is a long line even with five barbers.
People are thankful and praying for successful pilgrimage. Since our return flight is on 29th October we have to head back to Makka to perform Tawaf Al Wada on October 28, '12. Early morning we go for third round of Jamaraats and board the bus to Makka.
Now we are experienced travelers and know our way around. On October 28, '12 we reach the same hotel and freshen up with breakfast and head towards Khana e Kaaba. Around 10 AM the place is packed with a bright sun hitting the pilgrims with full force. I decide to perform Tawaf in the covered corridor where the distance becomes about three times. This Tawaf takes about 1 ½ hours.
The pilgrimage is over and we head towards Jeddah. There is nothing eventful except the the news that super storm Sandy is hitting the east coast of the USA. Washington DC Dulles and New York area airports are shut down. We stay in Jeddah for two more nights. .
There are a few lessons learned from my observations and direct experience. I hope future pilgrims to Saudi Arabia can benefit from them. Here are the lessons:
Selection of Travel Agency
Perhaps this is the most important decision you make. An honest and experienced travel agency will impact everything in Saudi Arabia. You are at the mercy of these people for visa, airline flights, ground transportation and location of your camp in Mena, Arafat, Muzdalifa and Jamarrats.
My friend Mr. Fasihud Din Toor selected the wrong travel agency and everything was messed up. He walked for miles from Mena camp to Makka for Tawaf. The agent did not provide the hotels, food or ground transportation promised in the correspondence. Many times he had to pay for taxi and buses. His location in Mena camp also required hours of walk to Jamaraats area.
So the best thing is to talk to at least three people with experience. Ask questions about the distance from Masjid Nabawi and Khana Kaaba. The distance of Mena camp from Jamaraats is also important. Some people have to walk for more than one hour to reach Jamaraats.

We cannot thank enough for all your efforts, this just adds to our trust in

Dar El Salaam--we had good experience in Hajj 2011 trip and now Umrah in

Insha Allah we look forward to take more trips through Dar El Salaam and we

tell all our friends to do the same.

Please convey our thanks to all the members of the Dar El Salaam team :

May Allah accept our Umrah and Duas,(Ameen)

Jazak Allah Kharain,

Assalaam Alaykum,

Just returned back from Umrah.

Earlier, when I was shopping for reasonably priced packages, most people recommended Dar El-Salam, although it was on the pricier edge. Others who recommended different travel agencies did not have a prior experience with Dar El-Salam. So, I made my reservations and hoped that people's standards and expectations are at at least equal to mine. Well, the experience was beyond expectations. In fact, the term "beyond expectations" is not good enough. The entire crew, with no exception, made these few days a long lasting memorable experience for my son and myself. We enjoyed every second of it. This is definitely my choice for future travels. I appreciate all the efforts and dedications that every single person puts towards the success of the trip. I would like to specially thank few names, but I'm afraid this may diminish or devalue the commitments and devotion of others.

May Allah Bless you all

Salam Alaikum,

I hope this email finds you in good health.  My wife and I have returned from our Umrah trip and I wanted to take a moment to thank Dar El Salam for the excellent service and accommodations on our trip.  We enjoyed our trip very much and are looking forward to traveling with Dar El Salam again in the future.  Please forward this email to Haji Mustafa and everyone else at the travel agency to let them know how much we appreciate all that was done on our trip.

Thank you so much for making this umrah possible for me and my son.  It was a beautiful experience and the accommodations were spectacular.  The Dar El Salam team was professional and courteous and really showed that they cared about our well-being.  We would like to plan for hajj next.  I will be in touch to get the ball rolling for that soon.  Thanks again.

I just want to take this opportunity to thank you and the whole dar-el-salam team to make this trip so smooth and comfortable for my family including my two small children and my mother-in-law. We had the greatest experience of our lives. Dar-el-salam guides, imams and scholars were with us on every step whenever we needed. We loved the accommodations, different lectures, the handling of our luggage's and most importantly the help we received from dar-el-salam in spiritual preparation for umrah.

Alhamdulliah all my family members were in good health and great spirit. Insallah, we will perform the Hajj as soon as almighty Allah provides us the earliest opportunity and you and Dar-el-salam will be our travel agency.

Thank you so much once again. Please forward our regards to Dar-el-salam team.

I got back last night. Masha Allah it was a good trip, may Allah accepts all our prayers, Ameen.  your USa office was very helpful, hotel accommodations  in both places were very good, the trip between Makkah & Medina & mazaraat  was good too.

Thanks for asking; We really had a great time with Dar el salam, in this 2nd trip. we did haj with them few years ago. Please convey my regards to mr Mustapha and the staff our sincere thanks.

Personal thanks to you Nahid for handling our paper works here in NY.

    Have a great 2014.

All services we received were great, excellent staff, very helpful and always were available, Hotels are great.

Overall Dar El Salam service rating is 5 stars.

We just came back.it was wonderful experience and service.

We enjoyed it very much,i happen to meet Br Mustafa in Mecca,he and the dar el Salam staff were very curtious and pleasant to work with and were very helpful.

Keep up the good work,we are already recommending friends to Travel With Dar El Salam.

My wife and I had a great Umrah trip. Air Jordan provided very good accomodation during connecting flights. Our hotels were 5 stars, close to both Harams. The PHD professor from Canada, I think brother Hakim, was great, we learn a lot. The dinner he araanged as a suprised at mount Arafat was a great experience. We enjoyed Turkey very much also. Over all our trip was a 10 out 10, thanks to Dar El Salam services. We would use your servcie again, and we have already told our family and friends about the great service you all provice, by the Grace of Allah.

Ilyas Ishmael

Assalamo Alikum, Allhamdullah we had a wonderful Hajj in 2013. I just want to thank you for all your good services during our Hajj trip. That helped us to concentrate on ibada (worship) rather than on the logistics during the hajj. Jazakallah

THis is the most rewarding spiritual boot camp I ever did, the team of Dar El Salam were all fabulous, kind and generous, they my Haj truly enjoyable, I will go with them again and recommend highly them.

My husband and I were well taken care by your Houston office in connection with our UMRAH arrangements. At this point we like to inform you and company sister Sahar has been exceptional friendly and very patient with our requests and demands. I must say that she is great asset to your organization since through her all travelers make travel plans and she does such a great professional job and this reflect good relationship with your company.
We were well taken care with your staff at Medina by Br. Tawfeeq who helped us beyond his duties to make sure we are registered at the hotel and prompt transfer of our baggages to our rooms. Subsequently he made a point to see us daily to see how we are doing.
Travel from Jeddah to Medina was arranged by three row seater van and this was not comfortable because of seats and four longs stops on the high way and the driver was preoccupied with his phone talks.
Hotels accommodations in both Madinah and Makkah were excellent and likable and had good room services.
Our helper at Makkah was Br Mohamed and did good to make we were comfortable. If his command in English could be improved he will be serving travelers better.
Your associates in Jeddah(Mr. Khan and co) were very helpful in checking in our baggages.
In summary we both are very happy to have make connection with you company and our firm resolution is to plan to go through your company for any future travel and we have passed on our good impression to our family and friends
1.Once we landed in Jeddah airport if arrangements could be made by your agents which line to stand waiting for passport check, it will less headache. we were nearly two hours waiting in the wrong line.
2. road transportation could be arranged in mini buses where passengers are comfortable and sitting arrangements are not compromised because of baggages.
we thank you for allowing us to write about our impressions of our recent

Alhamdullilah our trip was very good. May Allah accept our Umrah and ibadah!
The service we received in the US office was good, no complaints. The Dar el Salam representatives in Jeddah, Makkah and Madina were also very helpful. We loved the Movenpick in Madinah. The room in Hotel Marwa in Makkah was not as clean, but location of hotel was perfect, especially since my mother's knee was hurting very badly. Transportation arrangement was fine, and the Imam/guide in Madinah and Makkah were very knowledgable.
All in all, we were very satisfied with the arrangements and treatment we received from your agency. Insha Allah, I am hoping and praying Allah invites me again for Umrah and Hajj with my family. I will again contact you, Sahar, for my travel arrangements! I have told everyone what good service Dar el Salam provides.

I took my parents to umrah trip on Jan 28th 2013 for 8 days and we booked our package of 5 travelers with Darussalam. Alhamdulillah it was the best trip ever. Last year, I went to Umrah with a different agent and I had some difficulties but this trip was so smooth when it comes to accommodations, services both in Makkah and Medina, transportation. I am so glad I choose Darussalam as my travel agent for this spiritual trip. Sister Rahima was so helpful and she gave us a good package.

We are planning our hajj trip 2013 and inshallah we will go with Darussalam.

I am back from my spiritually rewarding experience of Umrah trip from Saudia. May Allah accept my Umrah.  Ameen!!!

Below is my assessment of the services I received from the Dar El Salam's USA Office and also from the staff in Jaddah, Madinah and Makkah.
The services provided were very courteous, professional and highly organized.  The arrangements for Mazarats and transportation were very conveninetly scheduled.

I am very satisfied undertaking my Umrah trip with DAR EL SALAM.  I will highly recommend Dar El Salam for Hajj/Umrah trip.
Thanks.  God Bless Dar Al Sam and the Staff.

Yes our trip and Umrah went well and may Allah accept our Umrah and Duaa and all the efforts that Khalid Sahib and you did. He took care of things right away.

The responses to your questions are below.

The service you received from our USA office:
The services we got from your office were excellent. However we did not receive the telephone SIM card and voucher in the package mailed from New York.  The voucher was email to us via your office and the SIM card was given to us in Mecca. Your office did an AWESOME job in re-routing us at the last minute and we are grateful to the efforts that Khalid Qureshi and his staff provided in the USA.
•         The service you received from our Staff in Saudi Arabia (Jeddah, Madinah and Makkah)
The staff in Jeddah were NOT aware that our flight plans had changed and we were repeatedly told by them that they had waited for over 4 hours at Jeddah airport to pick us up. Even the sign the driver was holding up had our old flight plan printed on it. we were told that if we had not showed up in the next 15 mins they would have left and gone home.

Makkah service was not very good. Mohammad Sahadah (I think thats how you spell his name) was kind and courteous but there were times when I felt he did not know what I was saying.

Medina services were EXCELLENT. Everyone was very nice, professional and helpful.
•         The hotel accommodations in both Madinah and Makkah
Hotel accomodations were excellent in both Makkah and Medina

•         The transportation arrangements from Jeddah, Madinah and Makkah
Transport from Jeddah and Madinah were excellent. However the transport arrangements from Makkah to Medina were below par. We were put in a small old looking bus with 4 other people and close to 18-20 pieces of luggage piled high at the back. I got the last seat at the back and during the drive the luggage was falling on top of me and I had to keep re-arranging it.  The driver was driving too fast and not considerate as there were no seat belts on the bus and we had small children.  I thought we would get a GMC but that was not provided between Makkah and Medina. I got motion sick and luggage fell no top of my head as well. The drive once during the trip just stopped the car and started talking to someone on the phone for 20-25 mins and only understood arabic. We could not communicate with him. He then suddenly got back into the bus and started driving. On getting to Madinah he did not even know where the hotel was and had to ask locals how to get to the hotel.
The Mazaraat in Madinah and Makkah
We would get called at 7:50 am to come for the tour and as we had small children we would get ready on time and be at the meeting place/hotel lobby. The Darelsalam people would show up 20-30 minutes later and tour in Makkah started 90 mins late, the drive did not let us get out of the bus at our discretion to take pictures and at one time told us to take pics through the window. i felt he was in a rush and was just going through the motions quickly.

The Mazaraat tour in Madinah was very good and the guide was excellent. He did a good job. The staff did a good job and arrangemet was good. The only thing was the tour stated 60 mins late.

Thank you very much for your mail. Alhamduallah, so far it was the best trip in my life. Successful and enjoyable trip, all together It was really awesome. Now, you request me to say something about your service. When I plan for Umrah, I checked with some of my friends & all of them refer to Dar El Salam and I found Dar El Salam is the best. The service I get from your USA office was excellent, The staff you have in Saudi Arabia, they are really very helpful, specially in Madinah. Hotel accommodations in both places are wonderful. Transportation arrangements are good. The driver who drove us from Madinah to Makkah was a wonderful guy. Finally, Mazaraat in Madinah & Makkah was awesome. Overall your service was excellent.

Thanks & regards,

Elhamdullah I am back safely. It was really good el hamdullah and I enjoyed it so much. Madinah hotel was great and close to Haram, Makkah one was a little far but still a real good hotel. I really appreciate the efforts of your crew on site, but especially Ahmed Jameel in Makkah is truly dedicated and super helpful.

At the end, I am really considering going to Haj with Dar El Salam -- May be not this year but next year, my wife and I. I will InshaaAlah contact you when we decide.

Jazzak Allah Kheir for all the help, effort and the fast acting to get me in there so quickly.

Hamdulillha I returned yesterday from an amazing Umra trip.
I would like to thank you and the entire team at Dar El Salam. The team in KSA provided an above and beyond service.
I did remember you in my Dua when I was circling Kaaba.
I would like to request the following:
Thank you again for an excellent service, I will definitely recommend and use your company for my future Haj plans Insha'Allah.

First, let me say that we are thankful to Allah (swt) for the blessings HE bestowed upon us for inviting us to HIS house to perform Umrah.

Our trip was a complete success right from the moment when we called Dar El Salam.  When I spoke to you, I failed to recognize how exceptionally well-trained and experienced you are in the facilitating of the trip details to even minor details.  Your responsive approach made us very comfortable with the plans and even managing a very tight (and demanding) schedule.

Then, the Dar el Salam staff at the Jeddah airport was so courteous, it took all our jet-lag away when in no time, we were made ready for the local flight to Medina.  Your staff welcomed us and took care of all the details, which otherwise would have caused us some pains.

The Dar el Salam staff at Medina airport quickly and comfortably put us very good ride to the airport.

The Dar el Salam staff at the hotel in Medina located us even though we failed to wear our name tags.  Kamal was very polite, well dressed and ready to check us in the hotel.  He took care of all the matters while we settled in soft chairs in he waiting area.  He then gave us summary of details and accompanied us to the room, where he posted all important information at a visible place.  Before he left us, he asked "if we were comfortable and with the accommodation".  Well, there was nothing to even think of complaining with such great welcome.  The trip to important places was great and well coordinated.  Kamal constantly checked on us at least once a day and made sure that not only we were happy but also ready for our next segment of the trip.  The ride to the airport was very generously comfortable as Kamal made sure that we get to the airport in time for flight back to Jeddah.  If and when we go back for another Umrah or Hajj, we will definitely request him for our trip handling.

At the Jeddah airport we were welcomed with the same smiling faces of Dar el Salam and were swiftly and smoothly placed in very comfortable ride to Makkah.

At the hotel reception, we were greeted by a very young, energetic and intelligent person and we were checked in after a brief wait at the reception.  The arrangement was exceptionally well arranged and administered by the Dar el Salam staff.

To cut the long story short, my family and I are very pleased with the way Dar el Salam arranged and delivered this Umrah trip.

By far this trip was the best and we were given MORE for our money.

thanks for a wonderful trip. may Allah reward you for helping ppl complete their umrah and hajj.

all the best

Jazakillah Khair for providing our family with a wonderful and memorable umrah experience. The staff in USA office and in Saudia Arabia were all very helpful and the service was excellent.

Hotel accomodations were very good, both hotels were close to haram and gave us a comfortable stay. Transportation and mazaraat were also good masha'Allah. Overall it was a wonderful experience however there were a few things that we wanted to suggest: Firstly, our package was for 3 days in Makkah and 3 days in Madinah but the traveling to get there took alot of that time. Our first days in both cities were wasted because we reached there late at night around 8-9 pm. It would have been better if the flight and transportation were arranged so that we could reach each city in the morning of the first day instead of the evening so that we could benefit from and take advantage of the first day as well.
Second suggestion was that although we received excellent service in both cities, particularly from Sister Naz and Qari Basit saab in Makkah, they were not able to accompany us to Madinah because their stay in Makkah was longer than ours. This was a little problematic for us because it was our first time going for umrah and since they were not able to accompany us to Madinah, when we reached there we were a little lost in terms of what to do. Ofcourse we had studied the rituals and what to perform, etc., however it is alot easier when there is a guide present who is familiar with the masjid and locality and knows where to go. They were both excellent guides in Makkah but we wished that we had been provided a male and female guide in Madinah as well who could guide us in Masjid e Nabawi. The staff who was present in Madinah were helpful too and answered any questions we had but they did not guide us through each step like the staff in Makkah had, and we were left on our own for the most part.
Third and last suggestion was that although the hotel in Madinah (Movenpick) was very good and comfortable, we had a bit of inconvenience with getting to the Roza Mubarak (prophet Muhammad SAW grave) because it was on the opposite side from our hotel. This is not too much of a concern, as it only required extra walking for us which would have been ok however being that my mother had been unwell before the trip, it was a bit challenging for her to walk that long distance. Also, in Makkah there had conveniently been numerous restaurants to eat from right under the Safwa hotel (there is a whole floor dedicated to restaurants with a variety of different foods) and also numerous shops to browse from as well, but in Movenpick Madinah there were not as many restaurants close by and we had to walk far to get to a good restaurant. Also alot of people advise swiss watches shopping in the Tayba shopping center in Madinah and this was located a bit far from our hotel. We did have alot of  shops in and outside our Movenpick hotel but they were overpriced and not as good as what we found at the tayba shopping center. We found that this replica watch shopping center was also closer to the Roza Mubarak too, so I think it would be extremely convenient if people got accomodated at a hotel that is situated between or near those two locations so that they had easier access to both.
Alhamdulillah we had an unforgettable experience and we want to thank everyone at Dar el Salam who made that possible. Please do not take any offense at my suggestions, I did not mean to sound critical in any way, and if I did or if I offended, then I sincerely apologize. These were merely suggestions that we thought would make an almost perfect trip more perfect :) .

Again, jazakillah for everything, and we will definetly consider taking another trip with Dar el Salam in the future, Allah willing.

Thank you for ur help in arranging everything necessary for my trip. Overall I had very good experience with dar el salam. The service of the Makkah office was good and madinah office was a touch better. There was some problem with the hotel booking in Jeddah, I was given the itinerary but there was no booking done in reality. The Jeddah office especially Mr M Shamim and Mr Ahsan khan really did a wonderful job in finding me a better hotel and provided excellent support all over.

I will fill out the survey as well.

I really do not know how to start thanking you and your team for all the support and hospitality that every one provided throughout our trip.

Right from your services in the USA where you made sure that all our reservations best suited our needs. It was a pleasure to have you so connected to us and even contact us before our flight to make sure we were okay and boarding our flights.

In Jeddah we received a warm welcome from Br. Saleem who made sure we reached Makkah, and the transportation provided was very comfortable.

In Makkah Br. Muhammad Shetata was amazingly helpful , provided us with cell phone and our tour guide Br. Jamil was also very understanding and helpful.

In Makkah we found ourselves very fortunate that Br. Mustafa himself was present to greet us and made sure that someone helped us through out our Umrah process. He even had our room upgraded (complimentary) to the Haram View. In Madina Br. Tawfik was very helpful as well and made sure our trip from and to the airport was comfortable.

We enjoyed the Mazaarat and the guide was friendly and helpful.

Overall , this has been an amazing trip and the the step by step support that Dar El Salam provided us through out our journey was a huge help especially since my husband was not well and on a wheel chair.

I think because of the good work that your team does , Allah will always continue to give Dar el salam all the success it deserves.
I personally wanted thank Br. Mustafa for his generosity and hospitality , however I do not have his email . I would greatly appreciate if you could pass on my message to him. May Allah give you, Br. Mustafa and your entire team Ajar for taking care of so many muslims. I will always refer your services to anyone who is planning to travel for Umrah or Hajj.
Thanks again for all you help

You are the best of the best, and Darelsalam team did a great jobs.  I would like to thank you and your team.   I am marketing Darel Salam to everyone I am coming across.  Keep it up!.  I wish I had met Br. Mustafa to communicate to him what an outstanding job you  are doing.  Maybe I will meet him on another trip. Inshallah.

our trip from Madinah to Makkah.
    -  In Makkah Br. Mohamed was there to receive at the Hotel. He too explained and

Thanks and take care,

Alhumdulillah the whole Umrah trip was excellent. We as a family enjoyed it a lot.

May Allah Subhana Wa Taala accept our niyah, Umrah, salats, duaas and zikrs.

Walaikum Assallam

Everything absolutely amazing, it was just excellent service right from the start to the end, back to back agents were available to assist, transportation was luxurious, hotels were good selection. Agents were all courteous and helpful.

I am recommending others to Dar El Salam for their Umrah or Hajj trip inshallah.

Inshallah, I plan to make another trip this year for Hajj.

Mashallah we had a very good experience with Dar el Salam for our Umrah trip.
The USA office provided exceptional support and help.
The staff in Madinah and Makkah were very courteous and helpful. We were not able to meet the representative in Jeddah as he was busy but the flight and airport stuff went fine.
The hotel in Madinah was good and very   close to the Masjid.
The Hotel in Makkah was also very close to the Haram but the room was dated especially the bathroom.
The GMC was very comfortable and the drivers were very helpful.
Mashallah all the Mazzarat were exceptional.

Mashahallah our trip was wonderful may Allahs peace and blessing be with you.

The travel was wonderful between the cities especially between Madinah and Mecca and the hotels were excellent. The only trip we couldnot do was Maazrat in Mecca but on whole it was a wonderful umra. Please keep sending us emails for furture umra and Hajj trips.

best regards

I would like to take this opportunity to Welcome you back and I hope you had a successful and enjoyable trip.
I am so delighted and blessed to have been a part of your Umrah Journey.
May Almighty Allah accept all your prayers and acts of worship during your holy trip.

I would appreciate if you please take some time and write an e-mail response with your personal feedback about your Umrah trip with Dar El Salam in the following areas.

 •         The service you received from our USA office: Service was excellent.   - I would recommend DarElSalam and Nargis Ahmed for all Umrah/Hajj trips.
•         The service you received from our Staff in Saudi Arabia (Jeddah, Madinah and Makkah)   Courteous, available and helpful: - The staff is Saudi Arabia was also very helpful. Mr. Mohammed Selim met me at the Jeddah airport and arranged for my taxi ride to Mecca. Mr. Selim and the taxi driver (who's name I don't remember) were both very courteous, kind, and professional.
•         The hotel accommodations in both Madinah and Makkah: - I stayed at the Hilton in both cities, and had no issues.
•         The transportation arrangements from Jeddah, Madinah and Makkah: - I relied on DarElSalam for transportation between Jeddah and Mecca, and had no issues at all. Very smooth.
•         The Mazaraat in Madinah and Makkah: - I was only offered Mazaraat in Makkah, and I went on that tour. It was very informative, and we were even taken to the factory where the cover for the Kabaa is made. It was amazing to see the cover being made, and all the steps/processes involved in it's making.

Your feedback is important to Dar El Salam and we look to it for improvements in our services.

I thank you for all your support, kindness, and for the opportunity to have served you during your Umrah trip.
May Allah bless you and your families with all that is good in this life and the next.

we had a wonderful experience with DarelSalam.Everything was excellent from service received by our agent Nahid Qureshi in USA till the transportation to our departure flight.
Thank you
JazakAllah Khair

Dear Rahima, Salomu Alaykum. We had a very wonderful and spiritual experience. Mr. Ahmad and Sheikh Hakim were very attenetive to our comfort and spiritual needs. My gratitude to Dar El Salam and special appreciation to sister Gihan for facilitating this great opportunity for me. I kept Dar El Salam and all the staff in my prayers and am attaching a souvenir photo. May Allah support you all in your noble mission.

Best reards.

The trip was truly a beautiful one. Hotel accomodations were great - especially in Mecca, which was excellent. Sheik Abdul Hakim was a wealth of knowledge and great to have accompany us. Ahmed was absolutely excellent. He was very patient and sociable.
The only thing that I was not happy with was the disorganization, especially from the ground staff in Mecca and at the airports. The ground staff in Mecca were also quite rude. Many of the people on the trip complained about them and even the hotel staff had made several negative comments about them.

Your office in NY was great, they provided me with useful information and were always available to help, it almost seemed like I knew most of them as my friends from long ago, Allahumdualiallah. Our travel/arrangements between the cities in jeddah was wonderful, your staff was great they helped us do our second umrah, of course we had to pay for the taxi but they made sure we I'd not get cheated with the taxi fare.
Transportation between madinah and mekka was good we got there pretty soon, the drivers were good. They was some confusion with our hotels in mekka, we were on the roadside for about 1/2-3/4 hour. The hotel in medinah was very good and also their b'fast was wonderful, but in mekka not that great. We took our tour in medinah which was wonderful, in mekka we did not take the tour. Over all experience was great and insha'Allah I'll use your agency for my future umrah or hajj.

Thanks once again.

Alhamdulillah mostly every step of the Umrah went well.
Our response to the following areas is as follows:
•         The service you received from our USA office
The service received from Darelsalam USA office was very professional, helpful, responsive, knowledgeable and with a mindset of going out of the way to assist the client. For example, prompt and swift follow-up via email and phone was very impressive.

•         The service you received from our Staff in Saudi Arabia (Jeddah, Madinah and Makkah)   Courteous, available and helpful

Darelsalam services received at Jeddah (when arriving and departure) was reasonable. However, it can be further improved in terms of dealing with Saudi Immigration staff. On arrivals, especially, the experience of standing in long immigration lines (and when no one seems to follow the concept of standing in the lines) was painful after a 13 hour flight from New York. It took us additional 2+ hours at the Jeddah immigration counter, on arrival.
Very much impressed by the organization of the schedule at Madinah. Kudos and compliments to Mohamad Tawfiq who explained the three nights stay in a very impressive manner by using a printed schedule. In addition, every night he cheerfully greeted us and answered any questions that we might had despite of the fact that he was working the entire day and tired.
In Makkah, although Darelsalam representative (Mohammad Khaleeq or Mohammad Khalid - not sure of his first name) was very helpful but can further improve in the areas of organization and clear communication. Overall, a very good person from New York office.

•         The hotel accommodations in both Madinah and Makkah

Madinah accommodation was reasonable along with the breakfast buffet. Whereas, Makkah accommodation at Fairmont Hotel was very impressive as well as very convenient for accessing Haram in a short period of time. Hope Darelsalam offers the same hotel during Hajj.

•         The transportation arrangements from Jeddah, Madinah and Makkah

The transportation from Jeddah to Madinah via Saudi Airline local flight was very convenient choice. At Madinah the transportation was timely and courteous. From Madinah to Makkah via GMC SUV was convenient, timely and courteous. Similarly, the transportation from Makkah to Jeddah was timely and convenient.

•         The Mazaraat in Madinah and Makkah

Although we were unable to take Mazaraat tour in Madinah due to a hectic schedule, we were glad to take Makkah Mazaraat tour. The tour was very knowledgeable and we felt that as if we were getting a preview of how we will (Inshallah) perform the Hajj. The most, and as we cannot stop mentioning to our family and other friends, impressive event was a surprise dinner given by Darelsalam Management at a location of Arafat on Thursday night. We were so honored to (exclusively) spend time at Jabal-ur-Rahma - truly a life time experience, meet other fellow Darelsalam travelers from different countries and greeted by Darelsalam Management.

ASA Faisal, we had a wonderful time at Harem Sharif and Madina . When you go there you always feel that time is not enough.Mr Azhar and his wife were with us and helping us all the way. There is another young man in Harem sharif Jameel who was really helpful . Mr Azhar arranged a surprise dinner for us in Arafat and that was amazing. Would like to know if you have 2 wks packages for Umrah ? . Accomodations were good. I have promoted Dar-el salam here is Saskatoon. Just keep your prices competitive.

It was an exceptional, unforgettable Umrah trip that would not have been possible without your help. May Allah bless you with all His Bounties in this world and the Hereafter.
It was a unique, once in a lifetime experience, different from the previous three I have undertaken.

We were overwhelmed with your team's hospitality in Mecca. We were treated to surprise dinner which was of course delicious! Then we were told were sitting at the base of Jablul Rehmet and could go to the top. In the middle of the night, tears rolling, as we climbed each step, you can imagine the feeling, cannot be expressed in words.

We left Mecca with "Pearls of Wisdom" delivered to us by Brother Azhar Zaidi. He happened to be in the hotel lobby while my sister and I were waiting to board the bus to go to the airport. Pls convey my heartfelt gratitude to him and his wife for looking after us throughout the trip. His son accompanied us from Madinah to Mecca. A very knowledgeable young man who will be an asset if he joins your company.

Last, but not the least, when we got to the jeddah airport, my zum zum container started to leak. I felt bad being the only one leaving Allah's House without zum zum. The rep who had accompanied us saw the disappointment on my face. While I was waiting for my turn to book my luggage, he came rushing in with zum zum.

What an amazing team! Pls keep up the good work. May Allah give Ajar and Jizzah to the entire team for facilitating these precious memories for us to treasure and cherish forever.

Bless you all!

I want to first thank Dar El Salam for sponsoring such an inspiring religious opportunity to visit all three Mosques.   It was not just a bonus having the Sheik, but a necessity. He clarified and differentiated for us information which was cultural from that which was Islamic. The tour guide gave us information that would truly lead to shirk had it not been for the Sheik interjecting comments with explanations. The group was on different levels in terms of age, tolerance, cooperation and health issues. It is very difficult, with a group so diverse   to coordinate such a venture. The Dar El Salam team did a great job. Everything was prepared for us when we arrived and the hotel accommodations were good.
I would like to suggest that we take earlier flights as opposed to arriving in Medina and Mecca in the middle of the night.   I suggest for the visit to Jerusalem, we arrive on Thursday instead of trying to tour and attend Jummah on Friday.
Please give my personal regards to the Sheik. He was very, very patient, personable and helpful. His talks on the bus and on the tour sites were historically and religiously overwhelming and informative. May ALLAH bless Dar El Salam for their efforts

I like to take this opportunity to thank you personally for having put together such a complete itinerary which worked like clock work. Very professional and thorough. I am glad I went with Dar E Salam for my Umrah and additional trip. The mix-up on the first day notwithstanding every thing went smoothly.
Please convey my appreciation to all the agents working on the itinerary in LA and to your staff in Saudi. They were very friendly and on top of things. Mahmoud in Mecca was very efficient. My special appreciation for his handling. Very courteous and helpful. Hotel accomodations were good.
In Cairo the agents were similarly courteous and helpful.
In Amman Mansour was assigned for the entire stay and he was excellent, helpful and very courteous. He went out of his way to make our stay pleasant. I shall personally acknowledge his assistance. Sharif in Jerusalem was very helpful, friendly and very knowledgeable. Hotel accomodation in Jerusalem was much to be desired. I wish we had a hotel in East Jerusalem. Saturday was Sabbath day and service was very poor and practically no choice available.
Moustapha in Cappadocia was similarly very caring and helpful.
All in all a very pleasant trip. I will not hesitate to recommend anyone your agency. The owner Mustapha gave us a very nice dinner and exchanged some pleasantries and that was very nice of him. All thanks to you, sister.
May Allah swt bless you.

We had a wonderful time in Madinah and Makkah. Here is our feed back:

Saheba was very helpful and addressed all of our questions. She was always courteous and attentive while organizing our umrah package.

We are appreciative of Dar El Salam travel.

-The staff in Madinah and Makkah were very prompt in picking us up and arranging our transfers from one city to the next.

-I would recommend that the Madinah staff provide the salah rug on arrival to Madinah rather than at the end so that woman can use it while they're in Madinah.

-Both hotels were in ideal locations and were very clean.

-We were very happy to find that Dar El Salam provides us with zamzam on departure.

-The Mazaraat tour was very nice in both Makkah and Madinah.

Great company, great service
Dar El Salam travel great all around. Very organized, and very courteous. They go out of their way to serve the piligrims. Highly professional in every regard. I would recommend them to anyone going for Hajj or Umrah, if you can afford the high prices.

Me and the girls want to thank you for the best vacation we ever had as a family. We felt secure and well taken care of. The other families we met were wonderfull, The hotels and food were top notch, and of course, the place we visited is the best in the world. I pray to Allah to repeat the experience. I also pray for health for you, your wife and childern. May Allah bless you, you have such a good heart, so hard to find in a world like this. Now I fully understand why my husband loves you the way he does.

I would like to thank you for all the work you and your associates have done to facilitate the hajj group for this year. Most importantly, I would like to thank you for your patience and understanding. Our group had the smoothest, least complicated arrangements, and they were all happy and satisfied.

I want to thank you and your corteous staff and I certainly will highly recommend your services to any friend and relative wants to go.

Thank you very much for arranging my omrah trip last month. I've enjoyed the stay at the acconodations which you arranged. I also throughly enjoyed the hospitality and availability of your staff who made me feel right at home.

I would like to say in short, that the pleasure you take in organizing, and all the effort put in by you and your workers is absolutely priceless.

Needless to say that the whole trip from the beginning to the end covering each and every detail was just excellent.

It's indeed very hard to find the appropriate words that would clearly express the great and successful trip you had provided for all your fellow brothers and sisters.

I would like to thank every body and May Allah bless us all.

I have been fortunate (Mashallah) to spend the first week of Ramadan performing Umrahs. I was awestruck from the very first time I saw the holy Kaaba and every time after it. There is some magnetic force that just draws one towards it. I just simply stared at it. Even during the prayers, I could not take my eyes off it. I in fact, found a fevorite spot to pray on the main floor across the door of Kaaba. This might sound weird but I have fallen in love with my creater after seeing Kaaba. It's just strange feeling. I have sort of addiction now to Kaaba. I desire to go back for a visit at least once a year, during Ramadan insha'allah.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all the effort put in by your travel agency to make my first spiritual experience (Umrah) a memorable one.

Salamu Alaikom, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for every thing you did for us during the Hajj. We enjoyed every minute of it and I would highly recommend your agency to any body that would want to make Hajj to travel with Dar Elsalam. Also I would like to thank your staff they were helpful and nice people.

Amazing Hotel Services, all aspects...Lectures were very informative, may ALLAHU (SWT) bless ALL of the Sheukh who participated.I think if you do some CLONING for brother (Sheik MONGY) it would be a great idea, may ALLAHU (SWT) bless him and his family.

The Tent was a surprise. Every thing was provided and clean. I did not need to use my own sheets or billows I wish I knew that before we left America. For a person like me with my Allergies problem this is a very high complement to you.

Absolutly the best. again, Dar el Salam did a great job in Mecca. I have been telling my family and friends about our experience in Mecca, especially the hotel and how close to the Haram we were staying. I would definently go back to Dar El Salam, without a question. Jazakum Allah Khair for everything you have done for me and my wife. I would recomend your company to all of my family, friends, and my friends at the islamic center of san antonio.

I sincerely believe that Dar El Salam took care of everything that was under their control. The overall experience was far better, far easier and much more fulfilling than we were expecting going in. Besides the relatively minor issue of hotel in Madinah, all the facilities and arrangements were top notch. Locations (hotels, camp) were excellent and the staff courteous and helpful.

The organization of the Hajj trip was very good, especially considering the horror stories I've heard from other Hajj groups. I especially liked how the staff welcomed questions from us and how there was always plenty of food and drinks available wherever we went. Thank you for soliciting our comments!

Arranging Hajj when there are four million people at the same place, at the same time, doing the same thing is extremely extremely difficult. What Dar el Salam was able to do in these trying circumstances, was unbelievable. No other group was able to do. If there were any problems at any time, it was understandable. Hajis should have patience. We have absolutely no complaints. God bless you all. Keep up the good job.

I wish to thank for a very satisfying trip. Almost all the arrangements by Dar Elsalam were excellent. Managing such a large project with such a success is remarkable. Congratulations. Jazakum-Allah!

Thank Allah our trip was a great and rewarding experience! InshaAllah our Hajj will be accepted by Allah. We also thank Allah on how smoothly and easily our Hajj was completed. Dar El Salam's Program 4C was first rate. We've spoken so highly of our Hajj trip (how smoothly and easily it was accomplished) that our friends are planning to join Dar El Salam next year for Hajj, if Allah willing. InshaAllah we will join your group for Umrah with our kids in the near future. All of Dar El Salam's staff were friendly and very helpfull--Sheikh Monji, Hisham, and Mustafa and the Sheikh who gave leatures in Mena and Arafat (I forgot his name); brothers Rami, Haidar, Shiraz, Alaa and the group leader from Bus No. 24 (I forgot his name--he's from Los Angeles). Great Job!!

I loved my Hajj. Everyone had told me that I will need patience even though I am a patient person by nature (By Allah's Grace). However, I did not need that. Everything was lovely.

Without doubt, Dar El Salam met and exceeded my expectations. The presence of the Shuyukh and notably Sh. Mongy, made this a spiritually fulfilling trip which (ISA) I will never forget. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. May Allah (swt) reward you for helping us answer His divine call. InshaAllah, my next trip will be with Dar El Salam.

I will definitely want to go through your agency again. My experience was far better than I expected. Your people made it possible to make easy entry and exit to nad from Saudi Arabia. This is one of the biggest complaints I have heard that there is a long wait at the airport.

The price was a little bit higher than I would have liked, but the services justified it. We heard horror stories about Hajj, but Dar El Salam made sure none of them held true for us.

Overall I am Very Satisfied with Dar EL Salam from the moment I came to your offices in NY and was helped immediately by Sr. Rahima and Sr. Sahar (They were most kind). Dar El-Salam provided me with the most wonderful experience throughout my Hajj. If you ask me to grade you it would be 100% satisfaction. Many thanks for providing me with such a wonderful experience. I would definitely recommend Dar El Salam to future Hajjes.

Dar Elsalam’s staff was delightful. The Shohadaa Hotel in Mecca was very good.

Madinah Movenpick was a Great Hotel. I was told that Madinah hotel service is not as good as Makkah. But we were pleasantly surprised at Movenpick. We liked it very much.

Very professional and organized. They delivered what they promised. I was stunned when I saw mena and Arafat comparing to the other companies. Accommodations in makkah were superb and madinah was great. The group leaders were very kind to us and always keep us informed with everything.

It was great. When we got to makkah our rooms were ready at the Zamzamn hotel. It was very organized. Madinah was beautiful and liked the Hilton hotel very much. Menah and Arafat was way beyond my expectations, I was surprised how they furnished it. We heard about dar el salam through a family friend and im glad we listened to them. May Allah reward you guys for the hard work you have done to make our trip very smooth and convenient. The group leaders and imams were terrific and experienced.

Assalamalykum Sister Dalia:

I just came back from my trip on Saturday. It was very pleasant experience. Thanks for all your help and may Allah reward you for all your help and patience.

Insha Allah, I will select your service in future and recommend to friends.

Jazak Allah Khair.

Dear Brother Ahmed
Asalaam Alikum,
I just want to thank you for the great service you provided me with for my Umrah trip.. I truly felt that you offered an excellent personal service, and you paid attention to all details.

Dear Tariq,
I wanted to thank you for your services on behalf of Darelsalam Travels. I had a very complicated ticketing requirements and process, which changed a few times partly because of our needs. You accommodated our needs in a very professional manner.
While this was going on, there were changes in the hotels and this happened during my travels in Egypt. There were flights that were canceled by the airline. The other airlines were not able to accommodate us or work with us on ground.

Your professionalism and your going above and beyond your responsibility to help us while we were in Egypt to setup our airline tickets, and get to keep the family together for further travels, and also make sure that our hotel is appropriate and according to our requirements, is truly appreciated.
I have worked with Darelsalam travel for the past multiple years. I know that you are by far the best travel agent that they have been able to find.
I again want to thank you for your personal attention and commitment to safety and needs of travelers.

Assalamalikum sister Gihan,
I want to share my daughter's thought how she fill about your service. and you can share this to your clients.
Pls. visit http://springbrk2010.blogspot.com/
Thankyou Dareisalam

Syed Akhtar Saheb,
I am writing to express the deep appreciation of myself and my wife, for the excellent arrangements that you and your team made in Saudi Arabia to facilitate our Umrah. The hotel locations were so convenient that we were able to spend most of our time in Umrah and other ibadah. While there, we have prayed for all those who facilitated our umrah arrangments.
Jazakum Allahu Khairan

First of all, Dar es salam was GREAT on our Umrah trip a few weeks ago. We are recommending you to a lot of people and definitely will come to you all for hajj, inshallah!

Dear Syed
I just want to say thank you for arranging me such a nice trip. I am sorry for getting late to you. I sais your salam to brother Saleem. He also said salam to you.

Thank you very much for your communication and responses to every call my wife made to you. Your responses made the process very easy to handle

I would like to convey my appreciation for the prompt attention you and your staff exhibited in helping me and my husband obtain travel insurance for our Hajj pilgrimage this year.
Please convey my special thanks to Sister Ibtesam for her assistance in contacting the staff at Travel Insured which resulted in the quick resolution of my getting the travel insurance I needed.
Once again, I would like to express my thanks to you, Sister Ibtesam, as well the staff at Travel Insured for all the help I received.

Dear Gihan,
We are looking forward to our umrah and Cairo trip and inshaAllah our experience will be just as good as we read in the reviews of Dar El Salam. Thank you for your help.
Take care,

Our dear Sister and Brothers:
Selamun aleykum wa rahmetullahi wa barakatuhu. All praise and thanks to Allahu Teala, to His beloved, our Master Hd. Muhammad Mustafa sallallalahu aleyhi wassallam and to your organization, that we have gone comfortably, easily and happily to visit the best of Allah's creation, His mercy upon all mankind, and the intercessor of sinners such as ourselves, Hd. Muhammad Mustafa sallalllahu aleyhi wassallam and return safely, blessed and cleansed to our homes.
I must express our gratitude and our thanks to all of you, who have helped us organize this wonderful voyage with such intelligence and care and efficiency in every step of the way and for all the generous gifts which you have given us.
Everything went perfectly without any difficulty or errors.
This is to express profound thankfulness in the name of all our people and hoping that we will have an occasion to repeat it with more of my children soon.
May Allahu Teala be pleased with you for the good deeds that you have been doing in His name and for His sake. May He accord you what is best for you.
With our respect, love and thankfulness,

Very good experience in hajj 2008
The company covered a lot of ground and had a lot of staff on every step of the way. They are innovators in the field and have been around for many years.

It is my first time for hajj and I do not have a previous experience to compare it to this one. But I am overall satisfied by the performance of dar elsalam. Mekkah(*****) and madinah (***) hotels were nice, group leaders were all efficient and very helpful. There is a group leader in every tent in Mina and in every bus and someone was always available at the front gate in mina camp.
The whole hajj trip and rituals are supposed to be tests for our patience and humbleness. And if I have another chance for hajj, I will go again with dar elsalam insha’ ALLAH

Haj 2008
Exceeded expectations. very professional, punctual, courteous, accomodative, and informative. They deserve every peeny. If Allah wants me to go again , i will choose dar Elsalam In Sha Allah. I recommend it highly

May Allah Reward Dar El Salam!
It was my first hajj and I was the only one from my masjid leaving early. I was encouraged by a member of the masjid to make my arrangements with Dar El Salam. From first contact with their office, the tone was set. There were conference calls, question and answers opportunities, and an instructional dvd. We were also told about options for getting a cell phone and advised about pre-hajj preparations.
By the time I met the group in NY, I felt prepared mentally and spiritually for the trip. At every turn Dar El Salam provided great transport, good food, a marvelous 5 star hotel for my package that was steps from Masjid Al Haram. In Medina, though the accommodations were a bit less extravagant, we were still mere steps from the Masjid Al Nabawi. The leaders and Imams that traveled with us were readily available to help, instruct, or answer questions.
The daily lectures provided content and context that was very helpful. I will be forever grateful to Allah (swt) that my first experience of hajj was guided by the very capable Dar El Salam staff.

amazing hajj
this was an amazing trip. at first I was concerned with the price but I was explained by DAR el Salam that prices have went up because the airlines and hotels have increased their prices due to the economy, after checking with other companies they said the same thing. I chose DAR el salam and the people are so nice, always helping when they don't need to. I didn't choose an expensive package and I was really pleased with everything. hajj is a test of patiance so may god forgive all the people who complained about things that couldn't be changed because of the Saudi governent not DAR el Salam and they are aware of that. about the people saying it was over priced , when I called they explain every reason why prices have changed. and may god forgive the person who said bad things about the owner, my friend told me about dar el Salam and she said when she met the owner at the office she couldn't come up with the Money at once, he was more then happy to help her in Many ways. they even help students who want to go by having a program for them. some things about the buses and people sleeping on the ground , chaos in mina, I'm sorry but that is hajj and the Saudi governent controlls everything in hajj not the hajj companies. whoever said their was mold in the tent and spoiled food, and the bathrooms, honestly I swear I hope god for gives you and have mercy on the people who act like this in hajj. I slept in the tents no mold at all, I learned there that these tents are built new every year because of rules, and not once was the food spoiled and I witnessed DAR el salam workers taking the extra food to the poor sleeping on the grounds with water for all of them and I even asked to help. the bathrooms were kind of ok but when I walked around and saw other bathrooms I was amazed how well DAR el Salam did a good job. the DAR el Salam team have people around all the time even at night to help anyone, I got lost once and I couldn't find my group leader and another group leader helped me find him with out me asking he just saw I needed help. I think the people who complain is because they want the hajj experience to be somthing like staying at a 5 star hotel the whole time and to get every possible thing they request for when its not possible because there are laws that people are not aware of in saudia so the people who don't know that they complain the while time over ridiculos things and that ruins the experience of hajj because its about truly about patience. I will go again next year with my mother inshalla. may god bless DAR el Salam for their honesty, kindness, amazing amout of hard work, and most of all for their respect!! its truly an amazing experience because you will see life in a more beautifull way! GOD BLESS them and all the people who go to hajj ever year.

Good Service
Alhamdulillah, I had the opportunity to go to Hajj with Dar-el-salam last year. This was my second hajj and compared to my previous experience and comments/feedback from my friends I felt they did a good job handling all the things for this journey.

If I go for Hajj once more, insh'Allah I'll be taking Dar El Salam without a doubt. Everyone was courteous and helpful, and I couldn't find a fault if I looked for one.
I highly recommend them to anyone who plans to go on Hajj from the US.

May Allah reward Dar el Salam for their excellent service during Hajj 2008 !
Alhamdulillah, my wife and I had an excellent experience with Dar el Salam during Hajj last year. All of their staff was very professional, courteous and well organized. In particular, Dar el Salam services at Mina were really great. We would love to go with Dar el Salam next time for Hajj or Umrah Insha Allah !

We are very thankful to dar el salam for providing us such a wonderful hajj experience. I'm so happy that we chose your company when you hear of other peoples experiences. Of course, there are issues that come up with all packages but by far you all tried best to accommodate all of us.

Thank you to Dar El Salam and all its volunteers who made our journey and Hajj an uneventful experience so we could use our time and energy on fulfilling our spiritual obligations. We loved every minute it and certainly got to appreciate all the hardwork put in by all the volunteers. A special thanks to Imam Mongy who made our spiritual experience very fulfilling. He not only explained in detail (without being condescending) all the various steps of the hajj, but also took us step by step through the tawaf and sai and made it possible for us to touch the Kaaba.

We are very thankful to dar el salam for providing us such a wonderful hajj experience. I'm so happy that we chose this company when you hear of other peoples experiences. Of course, there are issues that come up with all packages but by farthey all tried best to accommodate all of us. We have spoken to brother mustafa about al marwa hotel. It was by no means a 5 star hotel, basic services were lacking there. But AH we are over all pleased that we enjoyed hajj so much.

Thank You
We would like to Thank Dar El Salam and all the individuals who made this trip a memorable one for us. Besides the personal challenges, the trip was enlightening and served it's purpose spiritually.
Once again, thank you. We appreciated all the duas, effort and care. You did a superb job with the logistics of the trip

More than a HAJJ Company...A FAMILY!!!
My wife and I went on our first Hajj with DarElSalam and the experience was beyond excellent. I felt the people who work for DarElSalam were genuinely concerned for their customers. DarElSalam employees were full aware of the importance this trip meant and also the dangers that come along with it and they did everything in their power to make it as smooth and enjoyable as possible. Not only would I recommend this company I would go as far as saying there's no other way to do Hajj from the US except with DarElSalam. My parents went on Hajj the next year and unfortunately they were unable to go with DarElSalam because they were sold out and they had a terrible experience with the other company.

Professional Company that is focused on serving the Hujjaj
I greatly enjoyed making your acquaintance and was impressed by your poise and professionalism. Allah yebarek!

May Allah Accept From every one in Dar El Salam Travel
this was a very good chance for me to go to hajj with Dar El Salam travel , A lot of pepole told me this is the best company to go with , and Now I can say to any body think to go to hajj in shaa allha next Year, I can tell them like what I heard Before , Yes go with Dar El Salam

Great hajj experience
Mashallah I travleld to hajj with dar elsalam in 09, I purchased program 5 and we were very fortunate to have very attentive group leaders they were always available at all times. One of te group leaders came with us to the ka'aba and helped my mother on her wheel chair through the tawaf and saii'

Thank you!!
Yes, by the Grace of Almighty. we had a safe and comfortable journey back. I still cannot fully comprehend that Alhamdolillah, I was finally able to perform my Hajj after trying for so long! I keep seeing the holy sites and hearing the call for prayers in my imagination and I pray to Allah that Inshallah, He will Grant me the capacity to go for Umrah at least in the future, and possibly another Hajj, which I hope to do on my own feet instead of wheelchair, Inshallah!

My family and I went for umrah as part of a group and we loved everything about our experience and the services that we received. The sales staff is very helpful and all of my questions were answered in a timely manner. They went far and beyond to resolve all the issues with the visa. The staff in Saudi were very kind and pleasant to all of us. We are very pleased with dar el Salam

Umrah 2010
Last year I went to hajj with a different company and it was a horrible experience, may Allah forgive them. the organization was horrible and no one was ever available to assist us. I decieded to go back for umrah to
try out another company which is dar el Salam and it was the best experience ever. I also got to meet the owner who was in Saudi at the same time and he was a very kind and courteous man who answered all of my questions personally. It definitely put my mind at ease to meet him and have access to him. JAK

Caravan umrah
I traveled with shaykh Hamza group and it was organized by dar el Salam they did a magnificiant job puttin it all together. Brothers ahmed Mohamed and Ahmed Ismail were so professional and prompt. I will recommend to all my friends and family

I chose to go with Dar elsalam because everyone I knew who went to hajj went with them and had a wonderful experience alhamdullilah. Everyone I spoke to in their office was very helpful. They are a very busy company but someone was always available to answer my questions. Masha'allah they were able to get me a visa as a converted woman traveling alone even when other companies said it was impossible. Jazaakalluhu khairan for a wonderful trip!!

We were very impressed with the excellent services provided by Darelsalam personnel for our Hajj trip.   All of them were just terrific in being on top of things in making this journey so smooth.   We appreciated their eagerness to help us with our questions and for always being available to us. The efficiency and organizational skills are to be commended. They all worked long, hard hours to see that we were comfortable. Thank you again for making this once in a life time journey to be a very memorable one

Great Service
I just want to thank you for the great service you provided me with for my umrah trip. I truly felt that br. Ahmed offered an excellent personal service and he paid attention to all th details.

Ummrah 2010
The best ummrah trip ever
everything was well organized and I was pleased with the professionalism of the staff in new York and Saudi. The staff in Saudi was available 24/7 to answer all of my questions. All my requests and demands were fulfilled. They had the wheel chair ready for my old mother and they arranged for someone to assist her during the tawaf. I was really impressed with the class of service we received. There were no hardships at all.
Sister sahar in the ny office was more than helpful and was prompt in answering all of my emails and inquiries.
Thank you for everything

Thats it.
I completed hajj.
 Did anything seriously bad happen?
 Did I lose any bags?
 Did I come home?
More than some people can say about other travel companies.

May Allah accept the Hajj of the Hajji's - Hajj Mabroor
After reading a few of the other reviews, I feel like I wasn't with the same group. Have you noticed, how most of the times, people who write reviews of products, are mostly the people who had complaints about the product. Majority of the people who didn't have a problem with a product, do not go back to write reviews. Always try to get the positive and the negative before deciding.
Alhamdulilah, our Hajj with DST was great. Not everything went as planned, and not everything was smooth, but nothing happened that would disturb our Hajj.

DST does provide plenty of material to read regarding Hajj, Umrah and Ziyarah, and I highly recommend everyone reading it before going on Hajj, not while on Hajj, and not on the plane while flying out there, and not on the bus on the way for Umrah or Hajj. Get your self ready before you go there. DST provides DVD's, and conference calls and actual conferences also. I would highly recommend attending them and listening and watching them. They help you prepare. DST provides all the material you need to prepare.
Our flight to Saudi Arabia was very smooth. We got to Madinah, and we were supposed to stay at Movenpick Hotel in Madinah, but the hotel wasn't ready, so they accommodated us the CROM hotel. Granted this might not have been rated the same as Movenpick, but it was still a place to relax and shower and eat for a few hours before our room at Movenpick would be available, and it was within walking distance of the Haram. The room at Movenpick was available later in the day. No complaints here. How can one complain, we are in the city of the prophet. Madinah stay was very relaxing and spiritual. The Ziyarah was great, and we had a great group leader who had plenty of knowledge to share about the city. They served breakfast and dinner buffet's at the hotel everyday, and we normally got snacks in the afternoon. Each night after dinner, they had Islamic lectures, mostly on how to perform Hajj and Umrah and the proper manners associated with them.
We then went to Aziziyah for two days before Manasik and two days after Manasik. We stayed at the Dar El Yasmin Tower. We had to share a room with four other people, although we had paid for two in a room, but they had informed us of this scenario before we booked the two in a room package. The four of us shared one bathroom, and it was actually very easy and convenient as everyone in our room was very considerate and co-operative about the bathroom and room itself. The elevators were a hassle, and we were on the 10th floor. There were six elevators to share between Allah know how many people in the building, so my wife and I decided to use the stairs majority of the time and leave the elevators the the elderly and the families with children. Trust me, it was faster to use the stairs up and down then waiting for the elevators, and not having to wait for the elevators saved us from complaining all the time. The food was abundant for all three meals through out our stay. There was food, food and more food. We kind of got tired of the routine, so most of the people from our bus decided to try other food outside, such as the Pizza next door (which was amazing in our opinion), the McDonald's and KFC down the street. There was a masjid in the building that was available 24 /7, and all the salat were made there with jamaah, and if you missed it, there was always a jamaah going on. Before Hajj, they had a different Imam providing a lecture on all kinds of topics after each Salaat, and it honestly felt like that each Imam was better then the next. We learned so much during our stay and made it a point to attend all lecture. They had signs all over the place informing everyone on who will be giving lectures and when and where. They also had signs of when your group was leaving when and where. Honestly if people missed the signs all over the place, then you weren't looking for them. Aziziyah stay was hectic but we can't complain.
Mina camp was nice. I don't know how many people took a walk around to other camps to view how other companies had set up camp. The camps, had tents on top, but had dry walk or sheet rock walls all over with doors. We had better camps and bathrooms then other companies. DST did have workers constantly cleaning and / or repairing the bathrooms, but come on, we are in Hajj we shouldn't complain especially when our conditions were better then other camps. Food was plenty in Mina again three times a day. I agree about the drink not cooling in the fridge, because people were constantly opening them, but we were always able to find a cold drink in the coolers on the floors, because they had ice in them and were not opened as much as the fridge were through out the day. We were extremely close to the Jamarat, which is always a plus, and we threw our pebbles each day on the proper sunnah time and up front from the closet possible way without any incident of pushing and shoving. They have really improved the Jamarat. There is a pharmacy, right outside the camp, plus a Al-BAIK restaurant, plus a place to add money to your your cell phones with mobiliy service, plus a place to purchase udhiyah, or qurbani or damm or sadqah goat. Getting from Mina to Aziziyah or the Haram is a challenge only because of the traffic, and because the govt closes a lot of the roads to allow pedestrian traffic. When we went to the Haram, we were normally dropped off at the Shohada hotel (and sometimes even further) and had to walk from there. It wasn't a long walk in my opinion, but it did get to be steep for older people, as it was uphill on the way back. Trying to walk from Mina to Aziziyah is a better probability then a bus or taxi but good luck, it is not as easy as it sounds because of all the car, bus, truck and people traffic. Walking from Mina or Aziziyah to the haram is no cake walk either, a possibility, but even young people had a tough time. The women's tent was cramped / packed I heard. It was hard for elderly women to move around in their tents. They had plenty of barbers who charged SR 20 to shave or trim your hair after Muzdalifah in the Mina camo. It was a long line, but a nice facility to have, so we didn't have to leave our camp in Mina.

The arrangements in Arafat was in my opinion very good. Food was in abundance again. Honestly in my opinion, they should serve only boxed meals in Arafat and Muzdalifah, to keep it light. The heavier you eat, the faster you will fall asleep in the afternoon, and that's not what you want it Arafat. Arafat bathroom were decent. The AC was on the women's side in our tent, so it got warm / hot on the men's side, but they brought in two large AC's later in the day. They had a lot of shaikh's making dua in Arafat later in the day. They gave us the first half of the day to make our own dikhr and dua's and then later in the day, they made some amazing dua's - all in Arabic, but I bet they were all for our good in this world and the here after. Muzdalifah was nice. First the bus driver parked us outside of Muzdalifah and did not realize it. We got out and made camp there with our sleeping bags and stuff. A person in our group realized that we were outside the boundaries of Muzdalifah, so we had to all pack our stuff and get back on the bus, so we can get inside the boundaries of Muzdalifah. We found a nice spot in a parking lot and camped under the open skies. They did serve boxed food here with fruits, snacks and refreshments. Yes the bus ride is SLOW, from Mina to Arafat, and Arafat to Muzdalifah, and from Muzdalifah to Mina, but it is what it is.
Hotel in Makkah was the Safwah Hotel. Nice hotel, extremely close to the Haram, what more can I ask for. Food again was plenty, Breakfast and Dinner buffets every day, and there were plenty of restaurants in the hotel to buy different flavor foods. They did have signs on where our luggage was, and that we had to collect it ourselves. No big deal there. They also had signs on when to leave the luggage outside the door when we where leaving Makkah to return home or onward journey to other countries. If you flew Saudi Airlines, you had to leave your hotel six hours before your flight, and all other flights you had to leave nine hours before your flight. Our flight was at 11:00 AM on Emirates, and they checked us out at 1:00 AM the same day from the hotel and in the bus. They also provided Zamzam for SR 30 per ten liter can, another nice convenience in my opinion.
Leaving Jeddah, we had to go through the Hajj terminal, which was OK. It was packed, people sleeping everywhere. It was a chaos inside, but part of the process, and was fun. Alhamdulilah our flight I think was only an hour and half late, which was great considering that the people flying Biman Airline, were delayed by sixteen hours and counting when we left.
All in all a great hajj, with a great bunch of people. I would go with DST again in a heart beat. May Allah accept everyone's Hajj.

Wonderful Hajj, could use some help with communication
I want to start off by saying that subhanallah, we couldnt have prayed for a better Hajj. We went with program 5A (Medinah first), which was such a good decision, as there wasnt so much of a rush there, vs what people had said about the Jeddah airport. Our accommodations in Medinah (Movenpick) and Makkah (Al Safwah) were very good; the buffets provided were delicious and plentiful, and while this wasnt the purpose of our trip, the shopping malls attached to the hotels were very good too. Our stay in Aziziyah was very good too; we stayed in the DST hotel Dar el Yasmin, and aside from minor issues such as a rush on the elevators, i have no complaints about it at all. our accomadations in mena were very good too; our tents were literally across from the jamarat, and alhamdulillah, we never faced a rush when we went to stone the pillars. the same goes for arafat, good accomadations, albeit there were long lines at the bathrooms, but such things are bound to occur. even at muzdalifa, we got extremely lucky and got a prime place to rest, near a lit area. it was a great experience all in all.

the one place where DST could improve their service is with the communication. when we were leaving for hajj from JFK, they promised someone would be there to assist us, but we never saw any DST personnel. we came across a minor issue that actually required us to travel a day late, and it wouldve been very helpful to be able to communicate the problem then and there to DST. however since we left after they closed on saturday and they were closed on sunday, that was very difficult for us. i would recommend they have an emergency contact in the US that could help their customers if they faced such an issue like we did; at least during the time of hajj, if not year round. the emergency saudi contact # provided was not in service either, and we had to contact our hotel in Medinah to get in contact with a Saudi DST person.
On our way back home, we were about to board the bus to head to the airport when we found out that our passports were misplaced. we were assured that we would make our flight that night, that they were actively looking for our passports, but our passports never showed up. we ended up staying an extra 10 days and had to make new passports in order to return back home. since it wasnt our fault that the passports were lost, rather the mutawwifs in charge had misplaced it, we had to get a letterhead stating as such in order to get a new passport. we originally had plans to spend some time in India as well, but since most of our extra time was spent trying to figure out when our passports would come in, we ended up returning home. also, there were communication problems from the DST staff in saudi arabia; some of the staff from the US that were handling our case returned back to the US without warning so it was hard to get in contact with someone that could answer our questions. while it was nice to stay extra days in Saudi (we requested they place us in Jeddah so we could be close to the embassy), it was beyond stressful to be in a foreign country with a language barrier without a passport. we couldnt even go back and forth to Makkah, because in order to cross the checkpoints you need a passport!! its a little sad that we dont have our original passport with our hajj visa, etc, but khair, all in all, we are very happy to finally be home.
We would take DST again if we can, and if Allah wills blesses us with the opportunity to go on Hajj again or for Umrah.

Very helpful
Very helpful and courteous staff, especially Syed Akhter in your Houston office. One of your volunteers Shaikh Adel of Rockaway New Jersey was extremely helpful. Without him we would have had difficulty in reciting the various duas. He was a great asset for our group. Our group leader Alaa Banna was very knowledgeable and conducted the tours very well. I was greatly impressed with his helpful nature and cool demeanor.

Thank you
I appreciated the call backs and answers to my questions when I inquired before and during the Hajj journey. I appreciated being told the requirments and what was neccessary to fulfill our Hajj obligation. I enjoyed the various teachings from different Imans, Scholars in Mecca. Makkah was wonderful and great service as had been shared with us before the Hajj trip even. The Mecca tour was informational and enjoyable. In Madina the elevators were too crowded, the staff was very helpful though, as helpful as in Makkah I thought. I was unable to attend the tour in Madinah because of the cast placed on my leg the day or so before. I felt the timeliness of the buses was actually incredible considering all of the traffic jams and rains etc. I appreciated having more than one opportunity to travel during the Manasik at nighttimes. I appreciated the staff helping. The location to Jamarat was amazing, Thankyou so much for that! Mena camp was satisfactory though our American ladies restrooms were atrocious at times. The ladies working in the restrooms were treated poorly by some of the pilgrims who had forgotten their "Hajj manners" now and then. The plumbing was the problem not the workers always. Hajj was amazing, ardurous and incredible> thankyou so much

Great Hajj Experience
The planning was good. The orgnizing efforts from USA to Madina Then to Makkah and back to Jaddah and USA was good. I am satisfied with the education done prior to arriving to Makkah only…Jazakom Allah khiran for your efforts, the attempts on your part were obvious. If ONLY one thing need to be changed, then it would be the leaders (they should have very strong personality, and spiritual soppurt should be constant rather tahn every now and then. after all it is a spiritual trip..)

A great Experience all around
Masha-Allah, my group leader, Sr. Magda Khalifa, did a wonderful job making sure that all our concerns and requests were addressed. She did a great job making sure that we got the most out of our trip, as she organized lectures, tours, etc. for us. She was obviously always working for her group and their needs. May Allah accept from her and reward her greatly.

Jazakum Allah Khayran
The religious education and guidance provided by Religious Guides and Imams prior and during the hajj was extremely valuable. We gained knowledge that helped us to perform the rituals of the hajj and also these discussions inspired to continue to seek Islamic Knowledge as most important aspect of our lives. All of the Imam/Shaiks were not only knowledgeable but approachable. Proximity of the hotels to the Haram in both cities was a plus feature. In Madinah, at Radisson Blu the elevators were a bottle neck. They would cause delay in loading the buses. This will be a special cause of concern for elderly in the case of emergency. Mena camp location was very helpful in going to Jamarath. Arafath camp was very well organized. May Allah reward all the folks at Dar El Salam who provide this service to Hajjis each year? At times the Mena Camp seemed over crowded, but compared to what we saw outside on the streets we sincerely thank Allah (SWT) for the blessings. A suggestion, if there can be small area available for sisters for prayers and lectures that will be a good addition. May Allah reward the efforts of Dar El Salam in offering their services to Hajjis. The group leaders are valuable resources of your team.

we were blessed with a knowledgeable and concerned group leader in Farhaan. Without him, we would not have ahd the knowledge or strength to stay true to the sunnah of the Prophet (SAW) and throw pebbles at Jamarat at the appropriate time on all days of Hajj. I strongly urge Dar El Salam to place greater emphasis on the religious obligation of Hajj above logistical concerns. Flights should be planned such that the earliest flight leaves no sooner than the 14th of Dhul HIjj to allow ample time for all religious obligations to be performed appropriately. As indicated previously, I believe Dar El Salam needs to place a premium on the religious aspects of Hajj over logistical concerns. I was otherwise very pleased with my Hajj experience. The hotels were fantastic. The best part was the proximity to the Haram in each city. The quality of each hotel and the food service was exceptional as well. Alhamdulillah, the arrangements were wonderful. Sr. Ibtisam was extremely helpful. I am also indebted to the two Express program group leaders, Farhaan and Wisam, for making Hajj the spiritual experience of a lifetime. Again, I cannot stress enough that the religious aspects of Hajj (e.g. timing of throwing pebbles at Jamarat) need to be emphasized much more than logistical concerns. I have no complaints about my Hajj. It was as good as it could have been and may Allah accept it. I am very grateful to EVERYONE at Dar El Salam for making it possible.

thanks from the bottom of my heart.
I must thank Allah (SWT) for the whole trip and events. DES definitely provided a very good infrastructure and service to make the whole trip and activities very easy for all of us. without any reservation I thank DES and would recommend others also. This was one of the most organized trips I could imagine. However, just to make the things even better, I should comment that Al Nama tower was substandard compared to all other accommodations. Specially the lift service was clearly inadequate. If possible, use some other building with better facility. I was fortunate to be under guidance of Imam Ali Rabie. For a couple of times I had to ride other bus and felt the difference between the leaders. Imam Ali is excellent leader, commander. May Allah bless him. He cares for all the pilgrims. As a whole I am very satisfied. However it might be better if you could stick to time. I understand that we all are responsible for that. It is perhaps the "Asian culture" to be fashionably late. The management could have been a little more strict about punctuality. The madrasa visit could have been announced earlier so that we could have decided "to go" or "not to go". But again, I am very pleased with the organized trip. I was expecting more difficult situation there. Alhamdulillah, it was excellent. If I have to put only one name, then perhaps it is Imam Ali Rabi. But in fact all members of DES are very good. And may Allah give them guidance who could not fulfill the expectation. DES has done an excellent job for us and may Allah (SWT) bless all the members. Starting from the managers to the cleaners - all deserve thanks from the bottom of my heart.

Jazak Allah Khair
Dar El Salam did a great job. During the trip it was more than excellent….excellent accomodations in these hotels…..tents in Arafat had some problems with the airconditions. Air condition wasn't working properly in tents in Mena at the beginning while the tent next door was really cool…..Sheik Munji. I would go back inshallah with dar Elsalam but has to be with him on the trip. It is highly recommended on my behalf now. I would not try anybody else for hajj her from USA.
We were extremely satisfied with the administrative services provided. We couldn't ask for any better.

ASAK Dalia:
Alhamdullilah we are all back and wanted to take a moment to thank you for all the arrangements.
I must say that the arrangements at Jeddah, Madina and Makkah were equally good however as far as the service is concerned I believe both Jeddah and Madina exceeded that of Makkah. Your personnel at Jeddah and Madina were very responsive to our needs. You rep in Madina always returned our phone calls promptly. On the other hand at Makkah, regret to say that it took the representative couple of hours to return our calls.
The hotel accommodations at Madina Oberoi were very good. The bonus for us was that we had two bathrooms among three of us, an unheard of luxury!
Your representative, Br. Mohammed Tawfeek at Madina did an exemplary job and the arrangements for the Mazarat were very good. He always obliged us in a most satisfactory manner.
As for Makkah, it is unfortunate that the day of our arrival there was fire in the engine room of the Zamzam Tower account which Fairmont Hotel was closed. Your reps did a good job of finding us alternate accommodations at the Al Tawhid Intercontinental. However, the three of us had to stay in a room that was essentially meant for two. However, given the circumstances we cannot complain and in fact should compliment your personnel for finding alternate accommodations for us.
The most regrettable part of our stay in Makkah was that we could not visit places that we very much would have liked to. Please recall that this was the first visit for my daughter and I wanted very much for her to see everything. However, for some inexplicable reason no one showed up with transportation to take us for Mazarat on the appointed day/time. Of course, I tried contacting your reps who were not available and finally when one did return my call it was already Duhr time and it was too late in the day for Mazarat.
The transportation arrangements from Jeddah -> Madina, Madina -> Makkah and finally from Makkah -> Jeddah airport were all very good and the mini-buses provided were clean and the drivers very courteous.
Our flight arrangements on Lufthansa were very good. However, in future I suggest that at the time of making reservations you kindly also arrange for special (Halaal) meals. On more than one segment of our flight, we had to forego meals as they were neither serving halaal nor vegetarian meals.
I mention all above, not as a criticism of Dar El Salaam or their reps, but simply to make you aware of where improvements can be made and/or for you to relay our compliments to your representatives. All in all, I would like to thank you all at Dar El Salaam for the excellent service you provided us.

Our Umra trip was very satisfying.
It all started from the New York Office and particularly with the great help from you to be able obtains the visa
On Feb. 23, this made it possible for us to offer Friday Prayers in Prophets Mosque. Thanks Sister Rahima.
As for the Dar El Salam staff in Madinah and Mecca they were excellent and very helpful from receiving us at
Madina airport. And finally sending us back to the Jeddah airport from Royal Orchid hotel.
We received Ihram and prayer rug in Madinah and Zam Zam water in Mecca.
Hotel accommodations in Movenpick in Madinah and Al Safwa (Royal Orchid) in Mecca were comfortable and
close to the Harem.
Transportation from Madinah airport to Movenpick and from Royal Orchid hotel back to Jeddah airport were arranged with proper communication with us by brother Ahmed in Madinah and brother Kamal in Mecca. Thanks to both.
As always the Mazarat trip was very good. Our side trip to beautiful Damascus in Syria was also great.
We thank you and thank Dar El Salam for maintaining a very high standard of travel service to Mecca and Madina.
We have traveled with Dar El Salam for the last 8 years and Inshallah hope to do the same in future.

Thank you again for everything.

Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah Sister..

Manshallah, the trip was excellent, the service provided by Dar El Salaam was excellent, no complaints, the guides were very courteous and helpful.

I hope my next visit thru your company will fetch me some additional discount inshallah. Initially I was concerned of driving to Madinah first, as we reached late in the night, but then I was so glad that you sent us to Madinah first, as in the end the drive from Mecca to Jeddah took less time. I should have taken your advise regarding flu shot, which I did not, so I ended up with high fever on the 5th night and 6th day.

But otherwise, thanks the trip was excellent, we enjoyed our trip. Will be in touch for the next trip inshallah later this year.

Dear susan ASAK,
I have great things to say about our trip everyone especially you were wonderful our hotel in MADINAH DAR EL TAQWA was wonderful the only thing we didnt like was our hotel in MECCa zamzam hotel very poor service nobody spoke english very unhelpful and although it is close to haram but you have to go through the mall and two sets of elevators otherwise alhamdulillah everything was wonderful
            wassalam uzma

Dear Ahmed Ismail,
Walaikum Salam Wa Rahmatullah.
Alhamdulillah, our trip was very good.
•       The service you received in our USA office ---- Excilent service.
•       The service you received from our Staff in Saudi Arabia (Jeddah, Madinah and Makkah) ---- Excilent service.
•       About your Hotels accommodation ---- Excilent service.
•       About your Transportation ------ ok service.
•       About your Mazarat ---- Excilent service.
Thank so much for your service.

Salam Ayman:
By the grace of Allah we had an excellent Umrah and returned back on Thursday.
Everything went fine. I was happy with the overall service that I got from your company and have already recommended you to friends of mine: Azam and Mahnaz Dadi of Yorba Linda.
The only thing that I could recommend for improvement is the tours in Medina and Mecca. Both of the tour guides were not good in English and didnt know how to communicate well. the time alocated is very little and they dont really tell a whole lot about the site that is being visited. In Medina we at least got the chance to step out of the van, whereas the tour in Mecca was all strictly from the car, no stepping out to check out a place or point of interest.
I still rate the service as good overall and thank you for making the needed arrangements.
Inshallah soon we will talk again about the Hajj plans. Allah Hafiz.

Salaams Ahmed,
Alhamdullilah we got back late Sunday night and are just recovering the jet lag.
I was planning on writing to you to share my experience anyway.
• The service in USA was excellent. Jazakhallah Ahmed.
• The service in Saudi was excellent. The brother who met us at the hotel in Medina, I believe his name was Sameer was very good and professional. The brothers in Mecca were excellent also especially Gamal
• Movenpick was excellent. I had a few issues at Safwah but Gamal helped me through. It was quite a step down from Dar ul Tawhid.
• Transportation in Saudi was good
• Mazarat in Medina were terrible. They were not organized properly and the Shaykh forgot about the rest of the bus....he engaged with one couple only. mazarat in Mecca were very short and quick...we would have like to spend some more time at each site.
My kids are now hooked on Mecca/Medina and would like to go in their Dec holidays. Are you guys planning any trips then?
Please advise
Thank you for all your help.

As Salam O Alaikum,

I am very happy with services provided by Darus Salam in Macca and Madinah and would especially like to thank brother Ahmed Najeeb in Madinah and brother Muhammad Noor in Mecca.

About the hotels, they were generally good, but have two issues. They should have free internet access. My hotel in Mecca Dar ul Eman did not have capability to call outside the hotel. This becomes critical as I did not had local cell phone and nearest call booth is 5 KM from the hotel.

ASA sister Nargis,

I would like to personally thank you for your service that exceeded our expectations. Also I would like to thank you for your great patience with us as we asked about few options back and forth. You have provided great and clear instructions and expectations. Thank you.

My parent were also delighted by the your service and the USA office. They were also great full for the service they received from your staff in the US and Saudi Arabia. They also enjoyed the hotel accommodations as well as all the planned transportations including all the Mazarat. In short, they described all the services as perfect.

Thank you sister Nargis and thank you Dar El-Salam.

Thank you,

-The Salka family.

Salam Saheba, sorry for the late respond. I just wanted to give you our feedback on our recent umrah trip. Our flight was good but long, however that was not a surprise. Upon arrival to Jeddah and clearing customs we were greeted by a Dar el Salam rep named Saleem. He welcomed us and asked for our passports and I was afraid to give it to him since I did not know why. He arranged a private car for us and off we were to Madinah. When we arrived to the hotel at 1am there was a gentleman waiting for us, he was very kind and curious. He explained everything to us and really made us feel welcomed.   We could not make the Mazarat the next day so he arranged a special trip the following day. Wonderful man!!!     Hotel was very comfortable and located in the ideal place. We got a private car to Makkah and we arrived in style to our hotel around 6pm. We were greeted by another Dar el Salam agent and once any were given instructions. Very helpful and knowledgeable guy. I think is name was Kamal. Kamal took care of us for the next couple of days. The hotel Movenpick was even better than I had imagined. Located across the street from the Kabbah. We enjoyed our stay and performed two Umrahs. We were given a guide to perform our Umrahs and I believe without him we could not have done it. His name is Jamel and he is a very knowledgeable guide. My kids loved him and he made our experience memorable. Dar el Salam is very lucky to have such an individual work for them. Once again we missed our Mazart in Makkah but Kamal arranged a tour for us before retuning.

This has been the most spiritual and memorable trips we have ever taken. It was worth every dollar and I highly recommend if anyone is going to do an umrah for the first time or with children use Dar El Salam. We are already planning to inshallah do Hajj soon and we will use Dar El Salam for sure!!!

Thanks for all you guys do   Keep up the good work

Walekumas salam Sister
just wanted to thank you and the staff at Darelsalam who made my trip quite comfortable and a great success, may Allah bless you all and hope and pray you guys continue the good work (Ameen).
With a few mishaps (nothing to do with your staff), your staff was very helpful and was always there to give a helping hand or advise. Special thanks to brother Noor (In Mecca) and the brother in Medinah (my apologies as I forgot his name) who responded to my calls at all times of the day. Brother Noor was very helpful in retrieving my wallet and phone in Mecca. I may be assuming but have a feeling the brother who drove us from Mecca to Jeddah was not very happy as he had to drop us off at a different location than the airport (maybe he was expecting a tip). Since I had lost all my cash I couldn't tip him, besides when my mom gave a small tip to the bell boy in Mecca, brother Noor told us we do not have to worry about it. I am not sure if tipping is common, expected/not customary etc., but next time we will be a bit more sensitive.
The mazarat in Medinah were great, and even though we drove past several in Mecca, only stopped at one place (no complains as we should be able to visit them in Hajj Inshallah).
Saying all that, we were able to convince at least one family to accompany us to Haj with your organization. We are looking to expand the group and wanted to know what kind of package you can offer (Medinah first).

Hello Sr. Saheba -

As promised, feedback regarding the trip

• The agent ensured us with the latex information
• She also able to handle some our specific request for our trip

• Yassir in Madinah made the biggest difference to us. He was already there at the hotel when we arrived at 2am or 3am
• Yassir also made my father's stay pleasant and was able to have the hotel use my fathers Hotel Points to move him in a nice floor.
• One addition good thing that Yassir provided was a sheet of paper of his contact, prayer times in Madinah, visiting hours of the masjid, date of Mazarat and our departure date/time
• In Makkah we were glad that Mohamed was there as soon as we arrived from our drive
• He made sure that we got into our room safely
• We loved the sheet of paper from Madinah we hoped that we would get one for our stay in Makka

• No complaints whatsoever with the Hotel in either Madinah or Makkah
• We were pleased that they actually had a great breakfast each day for us

• The flight was good and really made a difference for us to be direct from LA to DBX to Madinah
• The car drive from Madinah to Makkah was very easy. Again, having the whole family in one van it was pleasant

• Overall the Mazarat are quick
• The Makkah Mazarat driver was really good and personal. This may be since we were the only ones. He actual did a special stop for me to purchase some old style desserts. That was great!

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah,

My feedback is below:
Alhamdulillah, overall I have no complaints about my Umrah planning and trip with Darelsalam. I will continue to use your services in the future inshaAllah.

As sa La Mualikum,

I want to thank you for arranging our trip and I already recommending others to go to you. My relative Mr. Rafique already called you from New York. Mr. Mohamed Tawfik in Madina and Mr. Gamal in Mekkah provide us excellent services I want to thanks them. They worked so hard to make our journey and our staying in makkah and Madina comfortable.May Allah bless them. I am looking forward for next one if Allah allow me inshallah. This time it was too short. Hotel accommodation was very good but Madina hotel was better than Makkah one but both hotels are good.
Transportation was excellent and Mazarat. No one should go to Umra for less then 10 days.We made a mistake going for five days.
But upon arrival at Jaddah after check out from customs a young man ask me our passport and when I ask who are you at that time a man next to him showing a piece of paper written " Dar El Salam" and he told me that they need to photo copy. I gave our passports than some one told me they do not need photo copy. After some times I found our passport with another group of people setting in a corner of the building. I was in a panic. Reception at Jaddah was not so professional. After all everything
went very well.
I did not for get you in my prayer and I hope and pray for you and your family.
May Allah Bless you.
-Mohammed Rashid

As-salamalaikum Sr. Nargis…
The trip was wonderful! You contributed into making it a wonderful and easy experience and inshallah you will be rewarded for your efforts. I’m glad I made the choice of going with your agency, and having you handle things. The service I received in Saudi was great. The first guide was friendly, and made things easy---the mazarat was perfect. The guide explained things fully, and made the experience unforgettable. I will do it again for sure next time.
In Madinah, it was even better—the representative from Dar was very organized and friendly….He pointed out things to us and made sure we were in the knowing. We appreciated that. The Hotels were great—although I was not too impressed with the service of Grand Zam Zam. The staff was not friendly, and the service was comparable to a Motel 6 here in the U.S. Our phone did not work for the tenure of our time and they made no effort to fixing it. Luckily we had our laptops so we could call home . The next time inshallah, I will be staying at the Hilton next door, as I am a Hilton HHonors Member, and will be treated accordingly to my status with Hilton. Will I be using your services again for my future Umrah and inshallah Hajj?   Definitely!..and I want to make sure YOU handle my requests…..Thank you for everything! Wa Alaikum As Salaam Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakaatuhu,
Our journey with DarelSalam Travels began in February 2002 more than 9 years ago when we went for Hajj.
Since then we have been going for Umra regularly, initially once a year and lately, since the past few years twice a year Masha Allahi.
Our experience during Hajj with Darelsalam was so great that we have not even looked for another travel agency and have had all our Umra packages booked through Darelsalam.
Our experience at New York office has always been with Sister Rahima Bessam and we have no words to explain the phenomenal service we are provided by her. She would go out of her way to make us feel at home with Darelsalam. We must say that our great experience began with our first contact at New York office with her.
All the agents at Makkah Madina and Jeddah are very courteous and caring. We must mention the fabulous work of Mr. Saleem in Jeddah and the two Jamaals in Madinah. This is in no way to say that other agents are not up to par.
Overall we have been very happy with all of our Hajj and Umra travel arrangements made by DarelSalam every time and we hope to continue to be your loyal customers and pray to Almighty that we are invited to His House on a regular basis Insha Allah. Ameen. Thumma Ameen.
Jazaak Allahul Khairan

Salam Ayman,
Yes we are back from our Umrah and thank you everything was great. I got great service from you and your office in LA. In Jeddah we were met on time. The driver you drove us to Medina was very polite. We were met promptly by your staff at the hotel in Medina. The hotel was very comfortable.
The driver from Medina to Mecca was not very polite. Drove very fast and was constantly on the phone especially when we got very close to the Kaaba and wanted to pray.
The hotel in Medina was also very comfortable. The Mazarat in both Medina and Mecca were very good. Overall we had a very good time. Thank you for all your help. I will definitely recommend your services in the community.

Asalaamu'alaikum Sr. Saheba
Thank for all the help with our trip. Below, I outlined a few points which I thought would be beneficial to your management.
1. Service that we received from Ms Mehdi was excellent. She was always available to answer the phone and she was very patient with altering the itinerary to fit our needs. I would definitely call her again and have advised my friends to call her if they are planning a trip with Dar el Salaam. It is much easier to call her than to be put on long holds with the New York office.
2. pickup and transportation upon our arrival in Saudi was excellent. The driver was very courteous and I actually asked for his business card in case we need him during subsequent travels.

3. The Movenpick in Medina is good but feels dated compared to the hotels adjacent to it.   I know people don't go there to critique the hotels but this is just to provide feedback. In terms of the conditions of the hotel and its furnishing, I think there are better options. In our room, the carpet was very dirty, the sink didn't work properly, and there was water damage in and around the bathroom. Personally, I didn't mind but my other family members did comment on these issues. Al tawhid or al taqwa as well as the Hilton are likely better options.

4. Tour in Medina was only average because the guide's command of the english language was marginal at best. Luckily, my father is very well versed in Islamic history so my family received a great tutorial at the various locations.

5. The driver which took us from Medina to Mecca should NEVER be used again. He drove recklessly; often talking on two different cell phones while steering with his arms. Please check the records and make note of who he was. He should not be given this contract again.

7. Zamzam was excellent. The location is perfect and the hotel has a modern feel to it. I wish there was a direct elevator to the hotel but you have to switch elevators to get to your room. No big deal but you have to plan ahead during salat times; the first set of elevators services several hotels and businesses, so it gets busy during peak hours. The food court is very convenient for families traveling with kids. I personally walked around Mecca for more "authentic food" but it's better to for kids to eat at the food court just to minimize the risk of food poisoning.

8. the guide in Mecca was excellent. He was a student at the local islamic university and so, naturally, he provided excellent insight into the history at the various locations. I was very impressed and actually asked for his number so I can look him up next time I go to Saudi on business.

9. Last, but not least, my only real complaint with the package: I really wish that Dar el Salam would arrange nightly session with local scholars in the area. It would have been a wonderful experience to sit down with local scholars, perhaps after Mughrib or Isha, and have them discuss whatever they felt was appropriate (halaqa, tafsir, dhikr, etc). I met people from Turkey, Iran, and Indonesia and all commented that their tours had nightly session with Sheikhs. Even tours from Pakistan and India had this service. For the price we pay relative to the tours from India and Pakistan, this service should be a given. It would greatly benefit us and elevate the overall spiritual experience during this journey.

Thanks again

-Farukh Mian

AsSalaamu 'alaykum Sr Dalia,
As I indicated during our phone conversation, we really enjoyed our Umrah trip. Alhamdulillah, the arrangements were excellent, and the staff there were very courteous. So thank you very much for all your patience and excellent service.

There was, however, one hiccup, and it did contribute some serious stress to our first three days in Madinah. This was that our bags (three of them) did not get to us when we arrived in Jeddah. Etihad Ariways confirmed that the bags did arrive in Jeddah, so the only possibility then was that the bags must have been taken to the wrong terminal in the airport (as we were taken to the Hajj terminal). Br. Mohammed Saleem there, who was very helpful, said he would send them to us in Madinah as soon as they surfaced. But we did not get them during our 3 and half days stay in Madinah. My wife and I had to endure with the bare minimum for that time. Alhamdulillah it went off alright. When we finally arrived in Makkah the night of July 4, we learned that the bags had been found, and Brother Mohammed Saleem spoke with me from Jeddah and said he could send them by ground transportation for a fee of 150 Saudi Riyals. When I asked him why we would have to pay for something that was not really our fault, he explained that the process in Saudi Arabia was not very clear. I asked Br Mohammed Saleem if I could get a receipt for the payment so I could maybe get it reimbursed by the airline, but he said he could not give me one, and then went on to explain that the other choice was to leave the bags in charge of the Saudi airport authorities. But we were so relieved to hear the bags were found, that we just agreed to pay the fee. And mashaAllah he delivered the bags in great shape. Please do not mistake me here - we really do appreciate the excellent service Br Mohammed and his staff gave us. However, I wanted to put in a request to see if we could salvage the 150 SAR since it was not really our fault in the first place. Whatever you can do towards this would be great.

Again, thank you for all your fantastic service. We look forward to using it again, inshaAllah.

Asak thank you sister Susan. Thank you for everything we really enjoyed our visit. I will give you the delailed story next week, your service was great, would love to use you for hajj inshallah in future. I have recommended you to many of my friends already. Jazakallah.

Hi Susan,

Thank you so much, we had a wonderful time! Our guide in Media was outstanding! (Mohamed Tawfik) I can not say enough kind things about him! Our accommodations and transportation and everything was wonderful, especially as i mentioned our guide in Media. Our guide in Mecca was also good. Thank you so much!

Walikumsalama Br. Ahmed
Hope you are doing well also.
#1 You gave us GREAT service from your US office, thanks
#2 Br. Saleem in Jeddah, Br .Noor in Mecca and Br. Taufiq in Medina were excellent. please convey our thanks to them
#3 Hotel accommodations in Mecca and Medina were good as well. Breakfast was a life saver in both places
#4 Transportation were arranged very well
#5 Unfortunately we were delayed for Mazarat in Medina and hence it was shortened, I wish we had more time particularly for kids sake.

I would like to thank you about everything you did and it was like you said amazing experiance and i will like to do it again in the future everybody was proffesional and the hotels were very comfortabe and the representave there were on time when i got there and when i left and the explained to me everything from a to z

Asalaam Alaikum sister,
Thank you very much for your help.
The service from the US was superlative. For example, our connecting flight from New York to Dubai was cancelled due to inclement weather. Your office personnel was exceptional in helping us find a new flight connection to Dubai.
Your staff from Madinah, Makkah, and Jeddah were all knowledgable and extremely helpful.
The hotel accomadation and food was beyond our expectations. The rooms were very clean and the hotel staff were very polite. We would like to stay in the same hotels again inshAllah in the future.
The transportation system and the instructor were excellent and on time.
The Mazarat in Madinah and Makkah were very good, but we wished to see more and had more time for mazarat.
Overall, our experience was very enjoyable and spiritually satisfying. We will choose Dar El-Salam Travels again inshAllah in the future.
Thank you,
-Dr. Nasir and family

Dear Sahar,
We are back and we had a wonderful Hajj.   Thank you for all your help.

hajj 2011
Just returned from Hajj. Wanted to let you all at Dar el Salam know that it turned out to be a phenomenal experience. Encountered no problems at all. Starting with you and Ibtissam here in New York and the staff in Mecca and Medina all our problems were taken care of promptly. It was a hassle free journey.Thankyou again for all the help with my mom's visa. Sorry if I bothered you again and again regarding our tickets, visa etc. I must say you never made me feel like I was overzealous or calling too frequently. You all are a patient group. I have nothing but good things to say about Darelsalam and all those I have met so far know that. Will continue to spread the word around that Darelsalam is the way to go.....for Hajj.

Just as Described!!!! Great Journey and Support!!
Jazakullah for a wonderful Hajj. Medina was Great!!. Mecca Hotel(safwa) was excellent and Aziziyah was like your typical extended stay hotel we have back home. Program was as described and we always had food and refreshments. we even had hot coffee and tea in Muzdalifa and snacks. There was some minor issues but logistically they were the best and always had great locations such as in Arafat and Muzdalifa. We had meet and greet at airport and when we left well. I think his name was Tamer was very courteous. Thank you DARELSALAM for my best spiritual journey !!!!!

Dar El Salam brings the most brilliant and extraordinary English/Arabic-speaking Imams to enhance all of their hajj packages.
Dr. Reda Bedeir, Dr. Hamid Slimi, and Dr. Muhammad Salah, are all excellent and knowledgeable Imams! I spent most of my time with Dr. Reda Bedeir. He is the most patient, and well-informed instructor I know. Dr. Reda Bedeir teaches with a passion, and takes responsibility to make certain that everyone's Hajj is accepted by Allah (S.W.T.) and according to the Sunnah. He's taken my hajj experience through the roof. His lectures are very engaging. He never got tired of answering all our questions. First thing you should ask when choosing a Hajj package is Who’s the Shaykh that’s coming with the group? You should feel blessed if your group is led by Sheikh Reda Bedeir, Sheikh Hamid Slimi, or Sheikh Muhammad Salah. Not to undermine the other Imams, but I was amongst these three the most. One thing I know for sure. Dar El Salam brings the most brilliant and extraordinary English/Arabic-speaking Imams to enhance all of their hajj packages

available when needed.
The group leaders were very helpful and patient with everybody.
However, one thing did not like (I was in group 3C) was that we did not have a sitting area to pray, read and even eat, so anytime food was served we had to take our food inside the sleeping area to eat, same for praying or reading.
Also, I expected to listen to more lectures during our stay in Mina, which was not the case, I don't know why? It would have been more helpful and inspiring if they organized some daily lectures in the area of group 3C (don't know if they had that in other group areas), explaining and teaching us more about significance of Hajj rituals.
Another point, is that it would have been also great if there were available buses to take people to do tawaf el ifadah directly after muzdalifah and not having to wait till midnight to take everybody. Some people took taxis and had very hard time coming back, they even got lost for hours before being able to get to back to Mina.
Finally, thank you Dar el Salam for doing your best to make our Hajj trip peaceful and comfortable. Yes I would choose Dar El Salam again for Umrah or Hajj as I know how hard all their employees were struggling to make our journey comfortable! Thank you!

Phenomenal Service
My experience at nyc office has always with sis Rahima, n having no words to explain the phenomenal service we received by her. She would go out of her way to make us feel at home with Darelsalam. I must say that our great experience began with our first contact at New York office with her.

Back from Hajj
Alhamdulillah...we arrived back but sad to have left Haram and back to life! Mariam is doing great after some rest and back to her MPH classes.
We are so happy to hear from you. We hope that you have finally got some time in Mecca and Haram to yourself and please have a safe trip back home. Please do let us know when you are back as we would love to catch up with you and thank you again for the wonderful time we had with our first Hajj esp due to your presence.
I am thankful that you have sent me the email address for brother Moustafa Ahmed. We just wanted to share with him how you and your team made our Hajj a memorable and wonderful event esp in our condition.
Dear brother Moustafa....Sister Rahima may have mentioned to you, but we are expecting a baby in Jan 2012 Mashallah and we decided to perform Hajj this year before we had the baby. She is 8 months pregnant at present and I am so thankful to God Almighty that He introduced me to sister Rahima who made every possible effort to make our Hajj as comfortable as possible from planning till we came back home, Alhamdullilah. She worked with us beyond being a sales person and custom tailored our package and trip so that Mariam ( my wife) stays comfortable at every step. I was amazed at sister Rahima's enthusiasm and patience's for every minute detail related to every Haji and remebering and caring for everyone's needs. In our case her every day Salam to us and outlining the day for us and giving us guidance was a blessing in disguise. At every step we were worry free that sister Rahima and her team were available on split second with a smile on their face. I have seen them not sleeping, eating or even performing their own rituals on time just to make sure that all the other Haji's were comfortable and perform their Hajj at the best of their abilities. I will esp mention Sister Sahiba and brother Waleed (who were directly involved with us) and sister Samina along with sister Rahima's daughter and praise them for their wonderful assistance in our Hajj. Nothing seemed difficult with their presence. May Allah give them the reward for their wonderful and caring nature to help so many Hajis perform their Hajj. For us, we have made more of a family out of sister Rahima, Sahiba and brother Waleed and would love to travek with them to Mecca again for Hajj or Umrah.
We came back but are sad to leave Mecca and Haram and have wonderful memories and even more of a desire to go back to Mecca to have spiritual peace and comfort. We are thankful to Allah for giving us guidance to perform Hajj and hope to keep this feeling alive to repeatedly visit Haram and Masjid-e-Nabwi.
Sister Rahima..much appreciated..we will keep in touch..Good luck with your baby boy's efforts to be a doctor....Let me know if i could be of any help...Say our best to your family at work and home!
 Jazak-Allah.... Mariam and Siraj

We are very much satisfied over all with the great services of DST and pray for further improvement of coordination and communication for the betterment of future Hajjis and for the reputation of DST.

My wife and I am very much thankful to Hajj Moustafa .He is great and he did his best for me and he tried to help every hajji fully satisfied. He attended us in hotels, camps and even at busses. He was very kind and courteous. He was glad to see me at bus at Mecca while going to Jeddah on 08 November. He was over excited seeing me in good shape after hajj. He kissed my shaved head excitedly and thanked God that I performed hajj safely and Insha’Allah successfully. He did his best and fulfilled his promise what he assured me at New Jersey during live seminar of DST.He assured me for his special care taking me as COPD patient with health condition and he took care of me every where in during Hajj, My wife and I am thankful to Hajj Mustafa and pray that may the choicest blessing of Allah (SWT) be always with him.
I am thankful and very much appreciative to the support of Dr Imam Sheikh Salah.I always found him very supportive, soft, cool, calm and very knowledgeable. May Allah (SWT) bless him with His infinite blessings. He helped me through Hajj Moustafa when I was in great stress at MEKKAH, just a day before going to Mina. May Allah (SWT) reward him and hajj Moustafa, Ameen.
My wife and I am thankful to Imam Shibly and Umer( of New York office ) who always helped me right from JFK to the end of the trip and also helped me a lot at Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifa. May God reward them for taking care of us at Muzdalifa.

I appreciate the great services of BrotherUmar Tawifiq, Brother Haseeb, Brother Wahab and Brother Arif and many more (I do not remember the name of many great friends) and finally I am very much thankful to Sister Ibtissam and Sister Dalia who guided me from Feb 2011 and made my spiritual trip possible and we are fully satisfied with their great services. May God bless them and reward them.
My wife and I am also thankful to Sister Rahima who took special care for me at Mina camp and at Hotel Shohada in Makkha at the time of departure for Jeddah. May Allah (SWT) reward her for his kindness and care,Ameen. I appreciate the services of Mr. Salem of DST Agent and his two assistants at Jeddah airport and services of Khalid Dar El Salam Agent at Hilton Hotel Jeddah. In the end my wife and I am very much thankful and appreciative to our all fellow hajjis who took care of me immensely and always tried their best to help me and accommodate me directly and indirectly. May Allah reward them for their kindness and bless them and all of us Hajj Mabroor, Ameen.
May Allah (SWT) bless all brothers and sisters in DST in USA and in Saudi Arabia for their help and support in making me and my wife able to perform Hajj.

I can say boldly that DST is a great company who also care handicapped person in performing Hajj in a great way. I am witness to it. May Allah (SWT) grant hajj Moustafa and all of us great honor on the day of retribution, Ameen.May Allah (SWT) help us acquire a sense of humility, inner calm, brotherhood and strength that lasts a lifetime.

It was great, hassle free, care free, and trouble free services of DST for performing Hajj, Masha’ Allah.

May Allah accept our special prayers at all sacred places for all of us and bless us with Hajj Mabroor,Ameen.
Please remember us in your prayers that may Allah (SWT) take us again for Hajj & Umrah, Ameen. With immense love and lot of Dua’as for all.

Fantastic Hajj
Mina location was fantastic. It took more time getting to and from the Jamarat then the actual stone throwing itself. Program 2 hotels in Mecca and Medina were fantastic. The locations were less than 5 minutes to the gate of the harams. The prayer room at Dar Al Tawhid Intercontinental was a well appreciated convenience. It allowed us to get the spiritual rewards of praying inside without having to step out. This was especially helpful to sick people. Food was plentiful and delicious. We are probably the only Hajis who GAIN weight during Hajj instead of losing weight. Arrangements were made to leave Mina at 2am instead of the initially proposed 6am for the farewell Tawaf. This was done to avoid traffic and to give us a chance to pray Fajr at the haram before going home. (Imam Chebli) was great, a true leader and decision maker. Buses were always on time and didn't break down. Plentiful food at the hotels especially when we first arrived in Medina and Mecca. there should be plentiful water/drinks and snack at the meetings in Mecca and Medina. We didnt have to carry our luggage anywhere and boarding/luggage check-in/transfer was taken care by Dar-El-Salam.

Dear Dar El Salam Management, I have not seen such organized and hospitable people than Dar El Salam in my whole life. From USA to Medina/Mecca and vice versa everything were well arranged. People were very professional and incredibly organized. AlhamdoLillah, because of Dar El Salam and the way they managed; we didn't have to worry about anything like transportation, meals and accommodations including restrooms. We absolutely concentrated on the prayers and the Manasiks of Hajj. Hope Allah accepts our efforts and blesses all of you for the fantastic jobs you have done and commit to do that. Everything was beyond our expectations!!!! I am echoing my wife too who was with me there. May Allah reward you for this effort and service you are providing to the Muslim Umma in USA.

Smooth trip
I felt the people who work for Dar El Salam were genuinely concerned for their customers. Dar El Salam employees were full aware of the importance this trip meant and also the dangers that come along with it and they did everything in their power to make it as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

Trustful Hajj Group
Personally, what I like the most is the truthfulness and straight forward responses with no Hypocrisy. I personally know the groups who would make big promises but in the end you end up getting excuses only. I would strongly recommend and suggest Darelsalam services to every one with my sincere thoughts.

Assalam alaikum Sr. Saheba,

Allhumdulillah we returned back safely from our Umrah trip. May Allah (SWT) accept it.
Overall it was a good trip! We received very good service from you and Sr. Habiba.
We were received by DEST rep at the airport and later met Br. Mostafa at the hotel. The accommodation at Medinah was comfortable and close proximity to harm was the most attractive feature! The service of the hotel in terms of house keeping was not as timely. Breakfast buffet was just fine. The Mazzarth tour was done efficiently. The road transportation to Makkah was quiet comfortable. Br. Kamal received us in Al Safwah hotel and helped with checking process. All of the activities went as planned in Makkah. Mazzarth tour and the transportation to Jeddah was on time.

Over all we are very pleased with the experience!

Couple of suggestions that I like to propose are:

1. Please make sure that listed numbers on the I'd tags are functional. None of the numbers listed worked for us.
2. It will be nice to have simple lunch included in the package because we ended up spending time ordering and waiting for food.
3. We were informed to wait at the Jeddah airport to meet DEST rep Br. Hassan. After waiting for over 30 min we still didn't find him. It will be nice to know in advance where and when the rep will meet the passengers.

Allhamdullillah we had a very nice trip and our duas for all of you for assisting us with the travel arrangements.

We would like to highly recommend Darelsalam for their wonderful service.  We booked our first trip through Darelsalam in 2001 when we went for Hajj.  Since then we have been on another Hajj and several Umras (our last was Feb 2012).  Our trips have always been well planned and executed.  Brother Syed Akhter through the Houston office has been our agent for many years.  He is timely, well organized, efficient and communicates well.  We are very pleased with the service that he has provided my family over the years.  Other members of the team (Mr. Saleem in Jeddah and the two Jamaals in Madinah) are equally courteous and helpful.  Overall we have been very happy with all of our Hajj and Umra travel arrangements made by DarelSalam and we plan on remaining loyal customers.

1. The service you received in our USA office- I will say it was excellent Sr. Saheba.
2. The service you received from our Staff in Saudi Arabia (Jeddah, Madinah and Makkah)- I think they need to keep their promises. For example, if one them tells you that they will meet with you at certain time, they need to keep up their promises and be there on time. Also I think all agency employees in jeddah, Madinah, and Makkah were all men. What about diversity(women). I believe some women clients want female ushers to go with them in prayer areas so they don't have to get lost during mazarat. Other than that, you employees tried their best. I will say the most hard working and best one was one your employees in Makkah and his name is Mohammed jameel.
3. Hotels accommodation-excellent.
4. Transportation.- I will say OK.
5.  Mazarat- there was no enough time  to see anything. We were being asked for 5 minutes to view the areas. I wonder why we did not get enough time to stay the areas a little bit. For examples making prayers or take some pictures.
Hope this will help. Allah knows best.

Aslaaam o Alaikum Brother Syed,
JazakAllah. Hope you and your family are doing well too by the grace of Allah! I am providing my feedback below as per your request:

-Service provided by Houston Office was excellent, very personalized.
-Hotel arrangements were excellent and very convenient, both in Medina and Makkah.
-Representative in Medina was excellent, very friendly and accommodating. And in Makkah was good.
-Visiting Mazaarat was very informative and properly arranged. The guide at both places were good.
-The only part that I have a suggestion for is regarding the car service from Medinah to Makkah and Makkah to Jeddah, they could only speak Arabic which made it difficult for any communication. I would suggest that the agent should have drivers who can speak other languages as needed to accommodate the travelers. Especially the driver from Makkah to Jeddah, I would not recommend him for future services due to his poor attitude.

Overall, allhumdolilah, it was a pleasurable experience through Dar El Salam and we will definitely recommend DES for the future.

JazakAllah again for all your help. Take care. Allah Hafiz.

Dear sister Sahar:
It was a pleasure to have your assistance in doing all the reservation for my Umra trip last month. It was wonderful, and I wish we repeat it annually Inshaa Allah. All the flight reservations were perfect. You were very helpful and fast of responding to my massages and even fast of getting the Visa as well.
In Saudi Arabia the staff were very very helpful in Mecca , Madina and Jeddah, specially Br. Mohammad Shahada in Mecca was very nice and helpful in resolving my accommodation problem in Mecca, and he did the best effort to make me comfortable with my stay there. In Madina we visited Mazarat with a group and was OK. I skipped the Mazarat in Mecca due to time issue.
I really thank you from my heart to you and Mr. Mustafa for all you have done to me.
I will consider Inshaa Allah to do future trip with your help.

Alhamdulillah this Umrah trip through Darelsalam was as gr8 as was my Hajj trip back in 2008 with Darelsalam. Brother Mohamed taufeek in Madinah and Brother kamal in Makkah were really nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend Darelsalam to my friends like I have been doing it since my Hajj trip. Last but not least u have been really really helpful during the process specially u went above and beyond to create this customized package for us. May Allah reward u for the effort JazakAllah khairan. We were provided taxi for trip between Jeddah madinah and madinah-Makkah. Both drivers ver courteous. I skipped mazaraat so I cannot comment on it. Hotel accommodations were gr8.

I would like to mention couple of things which can be really helpful for the folks who are going for Umrah for first time.
1) if u can let people know in advance that they will be landing on hajj terminal instead of north terminal people can prepare accordingly. At the time of hajj Darelsalam folks were waiting just outside the terminal. This time no one was out there and we didn't know that we need to keep walking till we reach the road where representatives were waiting and they were not Darelsalam folks instead they were darul-Iman folks. Of course not knowing this I was a lil scared of handing them my passport or going with them. in short no one from Darelsalam was present at Jeddah airport to receive us.

JazakAllah khairan.

Here is my quick, but sincere response to your questions:
• The service you received from our Staff in Saudi Arabia (Jeddah, Madinah and Makkah): It was excellent; they were there from beginning up to the end.
• Courteous, available and helpful: I did not have any problem, but I could see that they helped anyone who neede help.
• The hotel accommodations in both Madinah and Makkah:  Very good for the package cost.
• The transportation arrangements from Jeddah, Madinah and Makkah: Great and very comfortable.
• The Mazaraat in Madinah and Makkah: Sufficiently great and comprehensive.
I must also to add my deep appreciation to the professional leadership of both Imams: Khalid Latif and Omar  Bajwa. May God be with them always.

AA Sr Sahar,

Our Umraah trip was wonderful.  The service in USA, all the folks in Makkah, Madinah and Mazarat were very good. The hotels were very nice and the transportation was on time and comfortable. The airline which I chose myself was not great and our long wait in Amman was unpleasant. The airport and the staff at the airport are not nice! Overall,we had a good experience and will travel again with Dar el salam and I have recommended you to my family and friends. Jazakallah for all your help and caring.
